Purple Urkle Flowering Time?

S

Stankie

Hi,

I am kind of new to this forum, but I about to harvest my 3rd grow. I've searched but can't find much info.

I am growing some clones I bought from my dispensary. I bought one clone that claimed to be 'Purple Urkle'. I have to believe my dispensary because they seem to be knowledgeable and on the 'up-and-up'. I'm hoping they didn't just get some purple plant and give it said name.

I am growing in my own soil mix of peat moss, perlite, thermophilic compost, EWC, alfalfa and a little Age Old Organics dry In Full Bloom. I have used fish/seaweed hydrolysate and fermented afalfa tea as the main watered-in ferts. Other 'occasionals' have been Pro-Tekt, EM, humic acid, lake water, AACT, and I inoculated with myco spores when I potted them in Smart Pots. I am using a 400w HPS. Temps are ~ 75 D / 60 N.

My question is how long should I expect to flower? I was told 10 weeks by the dispensary dude. I am at 8 weeks, the plant is just barely purpling on a few leaves, and most of the hairs are still white. Here are a few pics I took recently.

Looking like it will be ready in the said 10 weeks my friend!! Looks good and also looks to be the real deal. Those low night temps are going to give it some wicked colors....Come back and give us an update before you cut it!

10-11 weeks is about right for the Urk. Usually colors do not show til the last weeks of flowering. But also some pheno's I've had show no color at all. If you can get the beans try Querkle. Shorter flowering time and more purple pheno's at least in my batch. Also it was much tastier than the Urk. The high is great from both strains. IMAO.

Thanks for the replies! I just needed some more opinions on this biatch!! I know she ain't anywhere near ready, just trying to get a better picture of harvest time for her.

I'm planning on going at least 11 weeks. I'm having some 'square' house guests in the middle of December, so hoping it is ready by then!!

I'll definitely post some more pics when she's finished.

Yeah Urkle does take along time if he said 10 he is probably right . Some say 10 to 15% amber trichs and it's ready . You have to see what what you like and you can stay within the 2 week window you should be fine. peace out Headband707

Stankle-- In my experience, the Urkle is ready around 70 days; this was also confirmed by Brother Baccas who is an Expert with many of the elite clones. When Purple Urkle shows her purple/violet beauty around the center buds then she is completely finished; which I have found to be around the 70 day mark. Enjoy!

It's not as nice as PK but I'm sure there are keepers

Purple Kush
Origins:Many years ago when the clubs started selling the PK in the bay area they admitted it was the Purple Kush from Trichome Tech. Period. Now, I can tell you if it's Ultraviolet or Urkle but it is TT's Purple Kush.-Original purple kush a staple in garberville till 84 ,also in panther gap area of southern humbolt in 80's
is supposedly brought by a veteran outside of petrolia

It seems to me when they hit that last two weeks you will notice some amazingingly rapid bud developement then at the peak it just starts to slow. That last 2 weeks seem almost magical to me. Your waiting will be well rewarded.

For 8.99 at the Radio hut you can get a 15x lens that will help judge those trichs. She is looking wonderful.

Hey Greenheart!!

I actually have a scope and the crystals are all still clear/cloudy. I picked a test nug early this week and it smelled like hay when dried. Smoked ok, but still no amber.
