1200w flooding and draining rockwool

Well here we go first thread ever. So any help would be appreciated cause this is my first real hydro setup.
here is the list
1- 4x8 secret jardin
2- 600w mag ballast
2- 4x4 (black) trays........the white ones couldn't fit
2- 35g reservoir
6x6 rockwool cubes
12 gdp plant under each 600w
feeding them advanced 2 part in one tray and gh micro and bloom the other tray to compare which one i would like to stick with. bloom enhancers will come as we get along the road.
this is all being done now and would really appreciate some input.

I think I see a SOG coming on. Love SOG'S. I put my clones straight on to 12/12. That grow area is looking good.

for starters that folding table with 2 4X4 trays full of water would scare the bejesus out of me.
consider simple saw horses for your tables, Lowes/Home Depot sell kits that with a few minutes thought & some two by fours any noob can turn into saw horses.

2nd congrats on the ambitious 1st set up, I'll be sending positive hippy dippy vibes your way.

thanks hc but im having a problem as of now im flooding the tray but the 6x6 are quite tall so the upper half is not getting wet/water. so should i hand water first with low concentrated nutes?

your cubes should soak up from the bottom. flood your tray for about 15 min at a time and they should have plenty of time to soak up all they need. also consider how tall thet table is and how low your light hangs that tent is about 6-7" i imagine..

Totally agree with stoner on the folding table.. folding = collapsing.. not good.. AND!!! having stonedar's hippy dippy vibes is a total plus.. good luck..

i flood it for 15mins but it didnt soak all the way up only to where the plug hole sits. let me give it another try

My money's on the GH stuff.. personally, I like going with all 3 of the base nutes from GH as well as most of their supplements. BUT, if you want the bomb in nute lines, go with House and Garden.. the stuff rocks..

okay finally got the clones in last night looking good so far except one in the front that i was trying to save.
so far i flood the cubes in a ph of 4.6 and let drain
then i flood with 1/4 strength of advanced 2 part (90ml per a +b) at a ppm of 200 ish and ph at 5.8. this is how they look like as of now.

oh they are under a 400w hps for veg. will be putting in the 600ws when flowering comes

need help from icmaggers: its been 5days now and my clones have not grown in inch yet. umm the lower bottom of the leaves where turning yellow so i checked the ph of my reservoir, which was good at 5.8. then i went and check the rw cubes by squeezing out water, ph is at 6.8. i changed the reservoir but dont know how to adjust the water ph as of now since the rw is holding a ph of 6.8 what should i ph my reservoir to balance the rw for another flood? i haven't flood them since 5 days ago cus they are quite heavy still

would it be okay to flood again even though the rockwool is still heavy/wet?

did you soak the rockwool in ph adjusted water? And I dont think you are going to have enough head room. Id say ditch the table, and build one of those pvc snapture stands. Or get some cinderblocks. You will gain at least 18" of headroom. I am doing 12 per light in a 4x8 and i am super cropping the shit out of them. I am doing drip-fed perlite in 2 gallon pots. veg 3 weeks and it looks like i am doing a scrog

update: im in 20th day of veg and the biggest plant is around 10 inches. damn this strain grows slow like always.
ppm is at 400..........dont know if i should bump them higher
roots are through the 6 inch cube already
ph stabilized after a couple of floods at 5.8-6.0
and still under the 400w for veg.

they starting to smell abit and i might need to put up the filter. cause i do live in an apartment with only one window in this particular room and i dont have any idea where to vent out the exhaust air. any ideas?
