Consisting of basic household items I made a contraption to make hash... For me.. I call it The hashitater maker..
Basically is steel mesh, wired together in a cylinder, with some silkscreen over-top of the whole shebang of junk i had laying around!.. Viola a hashmaker!
I used to the same mesh i built the carbon filter with. ts uneven surface of squares is perfect, the weed is constantly moving and agitating.
It is driven using a 8 volts of dc power(wall transformer) with a geared motor.
build list.
10 gallon fish tank
old flat bed scanner - stole the main rod, bushings gears and motor.
2 cd spindles
old transformer(think it was the old baby monitor)lol..
thick weather striping
piece of silk screen 150 micron
also 5 min epoxy
hot glue, dremel /w cutoff wheel
drill.
The two spindles are the end pieces, they sit inside the mesh cylinder. I used the weather stripping to give them that press fit they need.. I also use the front spindle to drive to shaft which turns th whole baby.. currently just using tape to hold it together.. but im thinking a pin lock would work good, one you can slide into then retain the rear somehow, clip maybe...shrug......Im gonna cut the shaft down. Shes a little ruff.. but the motors running cool it takes about 2 mins to reload.... simple.
takes about two handfuls of good stuff or half full.. takes about 10-20 mins to tumble... works damn good! by far the easiest method i have come up with to make hash with!
