Mine is still in its box as i`ve been told they are shite! I am going to hang it next to one of my plants from the side then compare it to another plant on the other side of the tent.

Yeah I have a penetrator 345w running as a test and I am more than impressed. Should be returning me 12-15 oz. Getting harvested in next couple of days.

Here was my last update, day 63

It's interesting to see how LEDs are progressing, but HPS is the one for flowering at the moment imo.

Peace

Have run a 126 penetrator since last xmas with mixed results , would wait another year till suppliers have improved in design and build quality.

Mono directional light sounds great , however the units will only illuminate directly beneath and with a small footprint the cost per square foot is very high.

With 60 deg leds the closest you can get and have blended light is ten inches , 120 would be better for veg i feel.

With six cheap PC fans it was quite loud when new , two died this year and the rest are noisier and will probably fail within six months.

Poor quality soldering required redoing from new , several dry joints and a real danger , failed PAT test even after fixing this , might as well have built it from scratch myself.

According to a callibrated Licor it has lost 12% of its PAR output between feb and oct running mostly 18 hour cycles , more than expected , will be able to borrow the meter again next month and see if its still dropping as fast , manufacturers claims seem over optimistic.

Exactly the same unit from the same factory is sold under different names and in various outer cases , same leds and same dry joints but half the price off fleabay , seriously reccomend removeing the case and checking basic wireing if from china for safety.

Others have had good results and assembly errors may have biased my opinion , but dont think they are the best option for many people in their current form and not yet cost effective , this one is comparable to a 150 CFL but less flexible in its use for me.

i have found them great for the watts they use, especially for micro-grows. you need some kind of intensive method for cramming the buds into the canopy - so they suit my style just fine. no breakdown issues with the three different ones ive used.
