Differences in Yield for Indica/Sativa

Im currently growing an indica dominant GHS White Rhino Pheno and im acctually happy with the results as i got close to 1g/w and the buds are really tasty.
But the Colas are never bigger then around 2 1/2" in diameter. When looking at other poeples grows(who use the same amount of light), i allways see colas as big as 4-5 " in diameter and whonder how that compares to my grow.

Can a nearly pure indica even have that kind of colas? As i have little experience growing another strain, i allways ask myself if its just the genetics or if im missing something else.

All depends on the strain, your lighting and your care. So many factors go into getting yield. Strain included.

Sativas can yield way more when grown outdoors in the ground.
But if its indoors and your keepin the plants small indicas will have the edge.

Should have stated that im growing indoors, using a 600w on 1.5 squaremeter.

So, "close to 1g/w" means you got say 600g from 600w in 1.5 [ish]

You could concentrate your light into 1m of growspace, I bet you would still likely get close to 600, but out of 1M2 not 1.5M2.

These colas will be fatter, but you are also more likely to loose to bud rot.

White Rhino is a heavy, short Indica, she will produce dense buds, small tight, hard things that weigh a lot for their size. If you grew a 30% to 50% Sativa, you will get bigger, fluffier buds that are not as dense, but look bigger.

Nothing at all wrong with what you are doing, or producing by the sounds of it, it is not about willy waving, just producing top quality buds, "Size is not important" ;)

If you can stick another 600 in there, no heat or usage issues, then you could well bump your yield into 4 figures, keeping the environment in spec and the girls happy as ever.. and your buds will be fatter... :)
