"Best" Mobile Vaporizer = ?

O

OZZ

I am new to the vaporizing method, but doing it to conserve my lungs here and there. Nothing like a joint of Casey Jones. In any case, I tend to blaze after work, while driving. I have seen a few pocket vaporizers on the market but what do the ICMaggers claim to be the "best" vaporizer that is mobile. I'm not looking for a complicated setup, just a legitimate, clean alternative to smoking on my long drive home.

Sounds like a job for the Launchbox, although I don't like the idea of smoking & driving ;)
It is very easy to handle, filling, vaping and cleaning shouldn't be a problem while driving.

Yes, it was the Iolite I researched before. How do these two compare? The Iolite vs Launchbox. Are we actually getting vapor out of both of these units? Meaning, is the temp correct for vaping.

For me "Iolite vs. Launchbox" was like "Best gas-driven" vs. "Best battery driven" mobile vape. The Iolite is a real fine peace of work as I have read but I liked the idea of using regular AA batteries. The design is so simple that I often caught me thinking that this peace of wood, plastic, copper and steel screen has almost NO material costs, but it is the brilliant idea i payed for (willingly) :D I'm thinking of a mobile water cooler for mine, because due to the short pipes you inhale some stuff that gets through the screen. Since I own a Verdamper with a giant water cooler for stationary use I'm a bit spoiled ;)

(the size of half a cellphone ;) )

Usage is pretty simple: Just open the LB, put your herbs in it, close it, put battery in, wait 5secs or so till vapor shows up, remove the battery a bit, inhale, battery in, battery out, inhale etc. until no vapor shows up.

Batteries = weight. Also you can use iolite in full view of the gerneral public & no one would look twice at you, while that contraption you have looks out of place.

Iolite fill chamber push button wait toke.. no need to keep putting things in and taking them out...

To be honest that thing you have looks like it was knocked up in a shed some where.... Looks like a crack pipe.......

The Iolite is amazing! One of the best buys of my smoking career. Can't recommend it enough.

Do we know for sure they both acquire the proper temperature range to turn it to vapor and not smoke?

The iolite does, there were some problems with the first one but they ironed those out.....

If you're going to use it while driving, make sure you get a hands-free bluetooth device for it.

p.s. stay the hell out of my neighborhood

I'm not a fan of Iolite. It's great in concept and I suppose it does its job but at $200-250 it's overpriced.

It feels very cheap and the stem/mouthpiece broke on the first day. I've read about this issue and thought people were just retarded. Nope. It's very common. As stated above this should be fixed by now though. Also they have an aluminum mouthpiece now which cools the vapor. Only issue is the company is in Ireland so who's gonna bother sending the unit back?

It's loud (hissing noise) when it's heating up though that doesn't last long.

There wasn't much vapor when I tried it, at least compared to a Volcano/vapor bros/Purple Days. Some people here said the type of butane you use matters. This is something to look into..

I tried the FIRST edition of Iolite so I'm sure a lot of these issues have been addressed.

There's also the same issue launch box suffers from which is having to get more butane/batteries. May not be a major issue for most people though but if you're driving in your car then I would get a unit that has a car charger. The only one I know of that does is Purple Days.

Purple days is a great "solo" vape. Comes with a car adapter, meant to be always on and ready to use, very quality build, looks pretty stealth (but kinda fugly.) But it takes 40 mins to heat up (meant to always be on.) There's also the 10+ week waiting period to get one.

I don't know much about magic flight launch box. A friend has one and loves it. I haven't tried it but I like the idea and it looks stealthy.

I don't agree with Panama Red if s/he means Cannabis impairs driving. Maybe using a volcano while driving is dangerous, but being high certainly isn't. Hell, one of my friends can't stop hitting other cars unless he's driving blasted out of his mind.

I think panama's issue is with people doing something other than focusing on the road while driving, it only takes a second or two of distraction for the situation ahead of you to change drastically.

The launch box uses rechargeable batteries, I've seen cig lighter style AA battery chargers, if you've absolutely got to have fresh batteries :)

Yes, I agree - having to fiddle with shit while driving is infinitely more dangerous than driving baked. I don't want to have to do a science project to vape on the go. So it has to be fairly simple in its use. Pack before driving, vape while driving, done.

In my opinion you shouldn't be trying to get high while you are driving anyway, just think of all the families that are driving with their kids in the back. One tiny distraction and you ruin them forever.

Just like those assholes who I see texting while driving, that shit pisses me off
