I have some biobizz nutrients that have been in my cupboard for about 2 years and was wondering if I would still be able to use them (biobizz grow & bloom) or have they gone off (expired)?
The smell definitely changes within a few months after opening the bottle.
All of the elements will probably still be there but who knows if they're still available to the plant - throw them if you can afford to buy fresh nutes.
I guess I'll chuck 'em away, shame cuz they're almost full Looks like I'll have to save up for fresh nutes. I can't help but get the suspicion that most companies lie about shelf life, take clonex for example it says it lasts a year but my friend has rooted cuts with some that's 2 years out of date.
^ this is true, I would say no one is qualified to give a precise exact answer, but peopel can toss around chat for the hell of it
but I know I don't want to stress at the end of the day, and I have the money to go buy new nutes if need be. others may want to experiment, others may not have money, others may be of a race of being considered cheap...
my suggestion if you are feeling there ok, is to give half your plants the old nutes, and come back and tell us what you learned
I think it takes a really long time to go bad if you store it in a coolish place. I'm sure the bottles I'm using are at least 2 years old. At application rates of per gallon, a bottles of Grow and Bloom last me a long time.
i've had my bio-bizz for about a year and as long as you keep it in a dark cool location it wil last a while. mine still smells just as good as the stuff on the shelves at the grow shop. i think until you get that funky rotten egg smell then it's cool.
i use a 5 yr old grow for my first feed,no bother, but the bought new just in case, but it smelt fine and no ill effects.(that was just one feed though).
