does it also work for fungus gnaths - just discovered them like 2 days ago - all those bastards make me sick

No, it doesn't work for fungus gnats... that's a whole nuther ball of wax! I find a topping of sand on my pots really helps keep them in check (I mean to the point that they don't annoy me any longer)... others swear by the mosquito dunks; I've used Gnatrol (which is basically the same thing as the mosquito dunks) with good success, but it is very difficult to have a garden w/o them, it seems.

If they ever start driving me nuts again, I'll go with the dunks, although I think the layer of sand will still be in my regimen.

Good luck! At least you didn't find mites (like I did on my last grow!) I'm crossing my fingers for the next one!

Monterey Garden Insect Spray concentrate. Contains Spinosad. Mix at 15ml/quart of water. Spray till run off and do so again a week later.

it seems like in europe there is no real way getting it - i havent found a single product containing spinosad!

Find a place online and order some spinosad. I'll vouch for that too. My plants were looking like shit. My yields were severely affected cuz of thrips. I applied spinosad a couple times and everything looks much much better now.

It's supposed to be organic and it says it's safe to spray on fruits and vegetables even. I'll never do another grow without a bottle of this stuff on hand. Seems like a lot of the cheap soil mixes come with their share of bugs.

That's very strange; can't you mail order from the States? Or is that not okay?

actually i could - but im even uncomfortable ordering equipment from my own country since there recently have been busts because of gardening orders such as pots - i just dont wanna be one of them.
the other thing is that i dont know if it even is legal to have it here in my country ...

i used nicotine vapor for about a week now and i have reduced the numbers of living individuals tremendously - today im sealing of my topsoil with blck/white foil. ill take a look around in my hydroshops if they have something suitable for my needs.

can thrips survive on a nft table? i guess they need soil in order to develope from a larve to a adult?

i'm in uk,in flower so cant really spray,so i got scotts bug clear ultra. its in stick form and i'm hoping that will do it, i also have yellow stcky things everywhere.. they've aleardy hermied one plant and its finishing early. will report back on the scotts.
have also put foil on top of soil in each pot tostop more eggs being laid, the yellow traps have caught plenty. i balme the soil,b&q multipurpose, comes with holes in the sack. changing soil next time back to some form of john innes.
