Coco in small pots?

T

I currently grow SoG in small pots, using soil and organics, and I'm wondering if I would be better off using coco, since it's better/quicker at supplying the plant with nutes, and the smaller pots may be restricting my soil/nute combo. Any thoughts/experience to confirm or contradict my thoughts? Any tips for nutes/feeding appropriate for coco & smaller containers in a SoG?

For the record, I grow SoG ghetto-style in 2-liter containers, under 250w and 400w HPS, with soil. I've had what I consider pretty decent results, considering my environment and experience, and I've fooled around with nutes and medium to some extent, trying to stick with soil and organics, but I think I'm ready to try and dial things in more effectively, and would appreciate any (experienced) help. Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys, I'm thinking I'll at least give coco a shot for a batch run, since it won't require much change other than medium/nutes. Any tips on a mix/nutes specific for small containers? Any small-bag/pre-mixed stuff to recommend? I'm in an apartment, so mixing big bales of stuff is prohibitive.

Coincidentally, I've also been considering testing some maxibloom for ease-of-use/cheapness. Thanks for the tip. Do you just use straight coco?

Yep just straight coco, and I don't even have runoff or anything just pots and saucers.

how often do you have to water 1 gallon pots of coco in full flower?

It depends on your enviroment, setup ect. Depending if your are drain to to waste ect.

but I have 1.75gal containers and I water about every 2 days, but some people water more often if they have drain to waste, but i just have pots and saucers on the floor so I kinda water just like soil but don't let it dry out like soil so much.

I tested out some strains in a 3l airpot, would be great for Sog. I'm thinking of a 9 plant attempt this style.
