tube is turning a dark color?

So I have a ecoplus air pump, 2 outlet, both outlets used. The tube is clear. The tube coming off the air pump's outlet is turning a very dark color, almost brown, and the color slowly fades as the tube gets further from the pump.

Anyone know what this is? Or if it's normal?

The tube may be reacting to the heat generated by the pump. Is it old? I have a 6 outlet manifold connected to a 3/8th in tube which is also brown but from heavy use over time.

You can get that tubing in black. Its probably Algae from moisture

Heat, buy a replacement pump now so you can swap it out when it fails, not a big problem, but not a good sign either.

Its normal with ecoplus air pumps I wouldn't worry much about it

always good to have a back up though. i use commercial pumps and get brown shit. and they never breaks and never makes it into my buckets. if ur pump craps out ull be very glad u spent 20bucks on a temp replacement. it may save ur plants life one day. but u should be fine. i just wanted to stress havin a backup pump available at all times.
