600W HPS VERTICAL GROW - BLUE MYSTIC & SUPER SKUNK

P

POTH34D

I have a 600watt hps vertical flowering setup and 430watt fluorescent vegging setup. Im using AN's Connoisseur based professional level nutrients, Vegging for 4 weeks and flowering for 8-10 weeks.
They started in 4" pots with promix bx, were transplanted to 1 gallon pots. They are now mostly 12-13 days old. They will be transplanted to 3 gallon pots for flowering. I have a mixed run of 5 feminized blue mystic and 10 regular super skunk, so at 4 weeks old the super skunks will go into flowering. Once they show sex ill pull the males and the BM will go in. The BM only takes 8 weeks of flowering so if i put it in a week or 2 behind the SS they will finish together. future grows in this room will be feminized super skunk. Got the reg seeds on accident, i was lit up when i ordered them. I topped the 4 biggest super skunks today, the blue mystics will get topped in a day or two. All recent pics, last three are the topped super skunks.

Thanks everyone. Im putting some pictures up in a few minutes. I just found 2 healthy looking seeds in a fresh ounce of haze. Maybe gonna grow them with some e27 led grow lights. Always wanted to try a small led grow.

BTW those funky shades are from the home depot for $10 each with 42w 6500k CFLs from amazon for $9 each. $19 per light or $190 total. $40 less than my T5HO, and they outperform the T5HO all day.

Ive decided to share how I go about growing from seed to harvest. No pictures and tutorials, but there are tutorials on this forum for everything already. They way I grow is very easy. I choose my strains, which I prefer to take no more than 14 weeks from start to harvest. Also I prefer medium or shorter height plants. I use the simple paper towel germination method, it works the best for me. I have tried peat germ pods and just planting, but using the paper towel method you can be sure only viable seeds are planted. I start my germinated seeds in 4" square containers filled with Professional Pro-Mix BX. I water(ph 6.3) the 4" squares before i plant them. This allows the substrate to be moist enough for the first week of growth, but doesnt drown the seed. I plant my seeds about an inch below the surface, not a half or quarter inch like some do. Those people typically see the shell still on some seedlings that break the surface, I have never in my life seen a seedling in person with a shell attached, Never in my life. Plant them about an inch under the surface. Once they break the surface I put them under 6500K fluorescent lighting, and spray them with a fine mist of water(ph 6.3) once a day for the first week. At a week old they are transplanted into 1 gallon pots, and get water/food(ph 6.3) for the first time, 4 cups/1 quart per 1 gallon pot. Feel how heavy the pot is before you water and after, I use this method to tell when I should water/feed. Generally at about a week in the 1 gallons they should be about ready to top. uncle ben will tell you how. I FIMed the 5 BMs i have now. Uncle ben shows you how to FIM too. about two weeks after topping or FIMing, or when the plant gets to my desired veg height, I transplant into 3 gallon pots and water/feed(6.3) with 16 cups/4 quarts/1 gallon each. Remember to feel the weight of the pots before and after water/feed. Then I place them in my flowering area with 600watts of hps and 12/12 light cycle. I have a single 6" duct fan exhausting air, and vents in the bottom for air intake. I also use two 6" fans inside for circulation and wind simulation. My temps are 80*F lights on, 70*F lights off. In less than two weeks they usually show sex, I usually do female seeds but I still check sex. Bag and tag all males and herms unless needed for breeding. Then continue flowering process. Once they are ready for harvest, remove from the room, manicure, hang and wait. I allow two weeks of drying at least, then final manicure. If you want maximum quality bud you need to cure it. I allow two weeks of curing as well. I use AN's Connoisseur based Professional line of products and their recommended feeding plan. This is a very easy way to grow, I would recommend this to any beginners who are looking for easy success and maximum quality bud. Remember that the genetics of the seeds play a big part here. If you grow bag seed this way dont expect good bud. If you order from Nirvana, Sensi, Dinafem, CH9, DNA, World of Seeds, or most suppliers on Attitude's site, you will have high quality genetics producing high quality bud. Feel free to ask any questions. Im posting pics of the new growth on the topped and FIMed plants in a few hours or so.

just pickin' on ya ...

by the way, I would think if you have knowledge to share, and I'm sure you do, why not start a new thread so people will be able to find it?

where can i do a budget beginners guide where people can find it?

Most grow journals that i see and guides are based on 1000watt lights or more, especially bare bulb vertical grow journals.

I have a large 2400watt cge setup that houses my perpetual, its like 4 rooms in one. Most people looking to grow dont want something like that. They want a tent, lighting, venting, nutrients, materials, etc. for as cheap as possible, but with a yield worth waiting 3 months for.

This 600watt setup is very basic, and doesnt cause a heat issue so less is spent on cooling. Being a bare bulb vertical setup, no reflector is needed, saving more money. Also your not as height restricted as a horizontal setup. You can source everything in this setup including veg lighting for about $850. If odor is a problem its about $1000 with a 4" fan/carbon filter.

hahaha i got the spacing down ;)

WOW IM HIGH!!!

First picture is the new growth on a topped super skunk.

Second picture is the new growth on a FIMed blue mystic.

I only show one of each because they are all close to the same.

I moved some plants around today. The younger super skunks arent catching up to the others under the T5HO. I put the 5 slow super skunks under the kickass CFLs,and the 5 blue mystic under the T5HO.

Now I wont be vegging the blue mystic longer than the super skunk. The 5 BM and 4 SS that are under the T5HO now, will be put in the tent in about 2 weeks.

Top 2 pictures are before move. Bottom 2 pictures are after move.

Also my boy came over with more of that haze that i found the seeds in. He hooked me up with some seeds. He said its outdoors nevilles haze, that was pollenated by some kush that turned male.

I have 4 in peat germ pods, in 4" squares of promix. They will veg for about 2 weeks regular and 8 weeks in IVSCROGs. Then flowered under hps for 10-12 weeks.

I wish i could gift some clones to people to grow.....wonder how I would do that.

Picture of an outdoor nevilles x kush bud, with my $120 canon elph 14.2.

Thats what i take all my pictures with.....wait till i figure out how to use all the features on it.

Im smoking a joint of this stuff right now and i feel retarded.

Update and pictures.

First two pictures are the four oldest super skunks. They are going into the tent sometime next week depending on when i get a new bulb. Today is day 21 for them.

The second two pictures are the five blue mystics. They will be going into the tent with the super skunks. Today is day 20 for them.

The FIMs didnt come out as expected. They were still forming new nodes, so i went in and topped them. Im happier just topping. it was my first attempt at FIMing, and its not really for me.

fimnewtopall.jpg

fimnewtop.jpg

Also the other five super skunks that are under CFLs got topped yesterday. They are only a week behind the others so hopefully the super skunks show sex early, so i can make room for more. Its gonna be a tight squeeze. Out of the 9 super skunks Ill be happy if i get three to five females. That will give me 8-10 total in the tent.

P

POTH34D

the 4 big super skunks dont fit under the T5HO light anymore. The roots were growing out the bottoms, so i put them into 3 gallon pots. The other 5 super skunk are gonna go into 3 gallon pots tomorrow. Then im putting all 9 in the tent. Hopefully i get my bulb tomorrow.Flower time! Blue mystics will veg under the CFLs till the male super skunks are chopped. Then they can go in the tent. Pics in a few minutes.
