Humboldt Equilibrium - Smells like ammonia ?

I had high hopes for this cal - mag - iron product but it smells like a bottle of cleaning ammonia.

That can't be good, wtf is up with that ? Is there something in it that would cause that & this be normal or has it spoiled ?

Heh.............

  • Soft Rock Phosphate - pretty standard stuff here and will contain between 20 - 25% Calcium in the form of Calcium Carbonate
  • Calcium Carbonate - limestone
  • Crab Meal - more Calcium (I think that it's Calcium Carbonate)
  • Magnesium Oxide - great antacid and beneficial in the formulation of cement
  • Magnesium Sulfate - Epsom Salts but which brand????? Kash Krop Stupid sez: "It's Walmart or nothing for my girls! And I grow only the dank!"
  • Iron Oxide - I wonder which one since there any number of forms of the generic term 'iron oxide'
  • Solubar - brand name for a source of Boron
  • Kelp - pretty standard stuff here redux
  • Yucca - pretty standard stuff here redux except it would be nice if they noted which part of the Yucca plant they're using. Yucca root has 4x the levels of saponins vs. standard Yucca extract
  • Polysaccharides - which one? It's like using the word 'casserole' to describe a dinner item
  • Honey - pretty standard stuff redux

Damn with faint praise indeed!

Bummer, it was an impulse buy so I didn't research it or smell it :(

It was only $20 & my shop will prob refund me due to the poor advice.

Lime screws up my grows so ive been looking for a (preferably liquid) cal - mag - iron solution.

Molasses has been getting me through but its not at all accurate.

What about Botanicare ?

oysters shell powder and sul po mag, mixed with water??
tomato leaves seem to have lots of cal & mixed with purslane(mag) would make a great mulch, top feed? or separate/individual FPE...
ive used chickweed for both cal & mag as worm food, compost ingredient & living mulch.
why not make a designer compost or wormbedding along with added OM; keeping cal & mag in mind??
use in soil,as amendment, top mulch, for ACT ect ect
"give the thought a little time & it may amaze yea"
