I plan on chopping the himalaya next Wednsday before I leave for thanksgiving break at day 70 exactly.
The la blanca is starting to flower really nicely. I have the lights on 10/14 right now to give her more dark so that she will finish in 7 weeks.

Yeah that sounds great but I go to college out of state and I have to come home for winter break for about 3 weeks.
Hopefully the 10/14 puts a dent in the la blanca's schedule. I technically changed the lights 7 weeks before I need to leave but I didn't see any calyxes for about a week later

Its looking good mate, the HBD are beautiful!
When it comes to the La Blanca you will have smokable bud in that amount of time, it might not be ready, the tricomes might be all clear and you will end up with some speedy smoke but i guess that aint to bad? I prefer to let my plants go a bit longer then the breeder recomends but that is just because i like the stony high and not a speedy one. Then again there are always different phenotypes some are faster then others so you might be lucky...

I like the couch lock, amber crystals too. Unfortunately its not my choice. I really hope that the 10/14 lights will make a difference and shave a week or two.

Hi all,
I didn't want to leave you guys hanging on this grow journal. Unfortunately I don't have pics, and my iphone wouldn't do these strains justice by a long shot.
So the himalaya went until day 70 and made some unbelievable buds. Absolutely grade A in my opinion. The smoke was SUPER indica and I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED it. There were streaks of purple all over and the buds had a very diesel smell. Unlike the lowryder 2 which in my opinion was crap compared to this, the himalaya compares to any other bud I have smoked from a dispensary or wherever. She got to about 16" and I bent her just enough to make 3-4 "top colas".
The la blanca. Where do I start? The himalaya definitely gets a strong 95/100. Both strains were unbelievably impressive, especially for something coming from a PC case 25" tall with 96 watts of compact fluorescent light. So if the la blanca gets a 95/100, somehow the la blanca gets a strong 97/100. The plant is COVERED in crystals. I cannot explain the sugar coming off of this la blanca slut. I chopped her this past tuesday, and it seems like she will make somewhere around 20-25 grams at most. She was not a true autoflower like the himalaya was. I had to change the lights to 12/12, and eventually I had to change to 10/14 because my schedule called for it. Vegging was 60 days, and flowering was 45. If I knew the la blanca was not an auto, I would have probably given her another 10 days of flower. The la blanca has a very strong coffee/kush smell in my opinion, even though it is a white widow cross. The smells remind me of the San Fernando OG kush i used to get mailed to me from CA. But in terms of crystals, after 2 days of drying I have never seen anything like it. I didn't even trim some fan leaves because they were covered in trichomes too. This is a PC case grow remind you, so this half O of la blanca is all for my personal smoke. I flowered her basically just in time so that the plant reached 24" without touching the top.
Overall I couldn't recommend these two strains more. I cannot wait to smoke this la blanca. I will get a taste of her before I leave for my flight this friday, but when I come back January 14th from break she will be waiting for my lungs!! I am thinking about ordering some more la blanca seeds. I recommend both, but this la blanca is really something else.
