1000W HPS SolarMax vs Ushio HiLux Super Gro....

First off, I have searched Google and did not come up with very much info on these 2 brands....

I'm wondering has anyone used either of these 2 brands, with a Mag. ballast?

I have always used horti's, but have since found an online store that has cheap prices on ballast and bulbs, but they do not sell Horti's because they dont feel its right to have to charge the outrageous prices that Hortilux is demanding.....So...

I've narrowed it down to the Ushio Brand and the SolarMax brand bulbs.....

Let me know what you think... thanks alot....your input is valuable to me.

Yeah, thats exactly who Im talking about... Bought a new hydrofarm 1000W HPS/MH ballast and a SolarMax bulb for 220 bucks....Thats crazy good, IMO...

First i ordered the Ushio bulb, and that was on back-order so I told them to just send me the SolarMax bulb, and after doing so, Im glad the Ushio was out of stock... I think I will be happy with SolarMax.....

The specs on it look good, but it seems the Ushio was more comparibale to hortilux....but the SolarMax has more red/orange light and still has a good amount of blue too....

Horti's are nice, but they do seem to make plants stretch alot in the first 2 weeks or so of flower.....But overall, I was very happy using Horti's, i have been using nothing but them for over 5 years now....So hopefully, I wont regret trying the SolarMax bulbs...They look and sound to be nice, and they are built in Germany, and Germany does make some qaulity shit...Time will tell....

I got my 1000w solarmax blue 7200K a few weeks ago
I wanted a 1000w bulb with something close to my T5 HOs that sport 6500K bulbs
T5s give me such good looking plants in veg
the soloarmax seems to be doing great for veg,
and my plants love it.
never tried the ushio, I made my choice on the Kelvin rating
