howdy, shop in augusta is Grass roots Grower or something similar. They don't seem to have a great variety of lighting but they will order anything and carry some nice lines. One of the guys that works there is fairly knowledgeable.

Figured id check in before the next storm disappears me into the subterainian aquaifer , the pond down the hill,or the local mental health clinic....Since complaing last time of, 2 days of rain and over 5 day of continuosly[every 2-4 hours] pumping out our "cellar" trying to save our medicenal grow,it hasnt stoped flooding yet...Granted im only having to pump the seeping water 2x a day,BUT ITS NOT STOPPING....Now the national weather service is calling for another 1 or 2 more inches of rain before were done wednesday nite....Im about ready to go old school and play NOAH ,drop a halide in the center of the living room, hole up and play arc until the water receades or the ole lady freaks out trying to hide plants under holiday decorations........ooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Maybe i could sell the water to poland springs?? Oh well- Life of a farmer is ALWAYS better then a real job.
Farming-its not just a job- its an adventure :tiphat: see ya'll on the other side.
E.C. try digging out around the foundation and using DRY-LOC or the Kilz stuff from WalMart. Yeah its like 22 a gallon but I am in South Berwick, 100 year old house, and had to do the same thing. Put in gravel and sloped the water away from the house. Now the "grow" is doing much better. And I do like Greenlife in York for now. There is also a place that opened in Hampton Beach or is it Hampton.

^ yeah that is the deal with my old house as well. the grade of the land came up over years and started funneling water down in the basement. also we dont have proper eaves which contributes as well..
someone told me if the grass grows extra tall around your foundation(compared to the rest of the yard) you need to pull the grade back

gix- sorry things didnt come out like youd like. did you test it yourself as well? if you use chems you most definitely will see an improvement with flushing. the genetic thing is an important lesson as well- some plants even at their max potential are just plain undesirable. even still, a harvest is a harvest -enjoy!

fb- co2 the veg!

Apreciate the idea's on how to deal....Done my share of hardscapeing around the farm....The problem comes down to a extreamly high watertable, along with a hand dug-dirt/crushed rock floor, olde cellar...Ive built french drains around the whole house along with gardens that act as a sponge to absorb the surface water runoff.....We had a physic dowser, years ago, say the land had lots of water running underneath...My therory is during a slight earthquake we had this spring, something underground geologicly shifted in the aquafer, forceing more water up towards the surface and my home...The worse part is the water chemisry is always changing..from .17ec-.42...Wonder what all that extra stuff is...I know it aint all ca/mg...Thanks for your support :thank you:

that cellar is acting like a hand dug well ;)

i like the theory of the spring letting loose... if this is going to continue i wonder if you could move the house? i see people do that sometimes but might be kind of spendy on a farm budget

my water is always changing too. every well ive had in maine does the same thing. dont know exactly what goes on there but it has a lot to do with the changing water table and is especially crazy with the spring melt... as if the ever-changing air temps arent enough of a variable.

also tap water is ICY cold right now, and I avoid using hot because it adds weird minerals from the plumbing.

WOW Makes me realize how much were all in the same boat,so to speak....Would like to dial in my system some day[working on it for 15 years this location] but lifes never seems to stop moving or the conditions from what we have to deal....
Yes amber; id love to move the house and re-pour the foundation, but it will take a win at the megabucks to pull that off in the near fyture....
On the bright side-at least we have an abundance of clean, fresh water intstead of drought conditions....YES my little roseanna roseannadanna its alway sumpthing.....Maine-the way life should be..... thanks for the pep talk E/C

will flush next time thanks amber.. have some fems in soil now so need them to veg out then I can get some clones from this one thanks people

EC, im sorry to hear about your basement woes. A friend had the same problem....lucky for him he didnt own the house.

As far as stores, I love using the canna line but I HATE going to liquid sun. Ive been to a few different stores and these people are so stubborn. Ive been told that I could not buy canna brand soil unless I was going to use canna nutes in it, and vice versa! And dont dare to ask for a discount if you are buying a bunch of stuff...you'll be laughed out of the store. sorry for the vent session, I HATE THOSE GUYS! Canna must not care what the face of their product looks like.
