p.s. I graft from 6-7am until 10-11 pm EVERY DAY,, i'm not rich,, and i dont even want to be,, but what i own is mine,, paid for by me,, self-pride slowly grows from that. Yeah the systems ste out against us,, but that doesnt mean we have to lay down, roll over and take it up the *** from these vampires.

Employ yourselves and free yourselves from mental slavery,, there's no boss involved,, and no guarantees of playstations and JK on TV,, but it will make you stronger person in the long term.. trust me!

Seeds are legal in the UK,, even though the plants grown from them aren't.. sell them! (sourced from overseas of course)... to Americans and Canadians,,. they LOVE growing weed more than we do see,, (God.. i am as honest as the days long)

Just to play devil's advocate here, your words could quite easily be construed as being pretty self-righteous. Do you really expect everyone to live as you would see fit?
There is a huge grey area when it comes to claiming benefits (as some posters have already illustrated by explaining their own situations), there is very rarely the black and white in which you seem to view the subject.

It can't be right to get unemployed people to pick up litter in flourescent yellow vests-that is the type of punishment meated out by the courts to minor offenders in the form of Community Service Orders. It shouldn't be a crime to be poor or unemployed.

My experience has been similar to Kilobyters-having not claimed since the early 80s last year i was in genuine need , due to being evicted from the family home by ex-wife and being seriously ill. Trying to negociate the benefits system was unbelievable-like a Kafkaesque nightmare. I don't know how these legions of 'scroungers' manage it i couldn't. If i had relied on them i would now, undoubtably, be homeless.

I dont work at the min im on the sick im having an op on monday and have bin waiting nearly a year to get a date. during that time the systhem has let me down in a big way. I would be on the streets if it want for my familys help. they have fuck me about so much. but i no someone who gets nearly a grand in benefits a month for saying hes depressed nw that pissis me off im genuine on 135 every 2 week. and for you who work full time i envy you

Sociologically if State Benefit didn't exist then the crime rate would be considerably higher that it is now.. like it was in Victorian times. Culturally however it seems that people from certain cultures are more inclined to work or claim than others.

Question : When was the last time you saw a) a Chinese person b) an Indian lady at the job centre?

Answer : you wont.. unless they were working there,, because 'claiming' isn't in their culture.

As a nation we have been living off the wealth of empire... which wouldn't exist if we weren't still stealing petrol of people... it's called the 'spoils of war'. Likewise if the UK didn't have global control over many international markets,, then most people wouldn't be able to afford to buy the cheap food we import from the poorer nations we cripple, like Zimbabwe... especially with the cost of locally produced food being so expensive to buy.

In theory the actions of soldiers overseas,, helps to fund the laziest people over here! that's just a factual irony.

To reiterate,, i dont have any problem with the sick, or the poor,, just the sponges. and i do have a problem with war. one reason i like to grow as much of my own food possible is so that i reduce my support for their/our system of brutality.

Some excellent points, however it could also be argued that those of us who pay our taxes are supporting the modern equivalent of empire building, which, as you quite rightly point out involves plundering oil and other resources from the countries we have just 'shocked and awed'.

havn't read all the thread but you come across as a knobhead to be blunt. If you want to talk about demographics and such like then I'm game, go to a place like Norris green,,Croxteth or Toxteth where 3rd gen of non workers exist go to Anfield where people were turfed out of homes on a promise of a better life only to be left stranded AGAIN!!! why should some of these people give a shit anymore? when all they have had is LIES and LIES and decades of being told they are no good!... you could reply i'm a whinging scouser (bit sterotypic but still) and i'll so you the likes of estates in Patricroft Manchester where the same shit has happened, or the likes of the kingsmead estate in Hackney... still if ya want to work in tescos for the rest of ya life this countrys great...... but no my mistake most people are happy living in shitholes with no prospects and getting dole that barely covers essentials nevermind anything else.... still we have a shitty wedding to look foward to now !
