Humbolt county's own snow storm ultra question

I have some snow storm ultra and Im not sure Im understanding the "hydro" Instructions. It says; "use 2ml per gallon and run continuously" Got that this is what is confusing me

"Be cautious if running nutrients over 800ppm . For example, running 5ml/gallon at 1200 ppm will drop reservoir to 800 ppm in 24 hours."

I understand to be cautious running at high ppm but I dont understand what they are saying that it will drop the ppm so drastically. What exactly does snow storm do?

I used it for the first time my last grow, I tested it on one of my girls and she came out with more frost than the others. I used it 2ml per gallon handwatering and i also made a foliar spray that i used once a week or so during weeks 3-5 of flowering.

All done in coco*

I still dont understand how running it high will cause it to drop the res. ppm in 24hours? Im not planning on running it high, but I want to understand what it is saying. Im a little slow today so hopefully it i not too stupid of a question.

Its saying that it will burn your plants easily if they cant take high PPM levels. The stuff claims that it will drop the PPM from 1200 to 800 in 24 hours...this is not true...it does not do that...dunno why it says that on the bottle....you do need to lower your PPMs before runnning it continously in hydro until you find out how much your plants can take....if your running at 1000 ppm now, drop to 800 then add 2ml SSU per gallon and wait about 24 to 48 hours...look for signs of nute burn....you can raise your PPM level back to what you normally would run slowly if you want but its usually not needed. Most report minor differences.....best if used in tank and as a foliar....still not sure if this stuff is even worth it......dont expect earth shattering results thats for sure!

I understand that it could burn the plants if using a high ppm. I guess they are trying to say that if you are running at a high ppm before snowstorm use if you add snowstorm your ppm will drop below what it originally was?

Im at 1160 right now with the snowstorm ultra and I just changed the res. So Im going to test it again tomorrow and see what it reads. I was at 800 before the addition of snow storm and have not seen any problems yet so I think they can handle the 1160 but if not I will drop it down asap.

Basically what I dont understand is it's saying its going to DROP the ppm from 1200 to 800, but why would that harm the plants? And why does SSU cause a drop in PPM after 24 hours or why do they say that?

Hey there guys. I just recently came across this product myself, got a bottle and trying to test how it works.

From what I understand about the directions, it is not that the Snow Storm Ultra will drop your res PPM but that it is such a good catalyst at helping the plants absorb nutrients that in 24 hours it can make the plants eat so much and drop your overall res PPM from 1200 to 800.

Hope this helps! I think this stuff makes a noticeable difference in trichome production!
