wow interesting thread.

I was talking to my sis about this yesterday. I've been into light recently (see my signature). She into astrology. I said that maybe the moon has its effect by electromagnetics...

In this case then, its not so much the matter of the moon's light...but more of its position in the sky. That would influence the amount of Em waves...

http://www.yoni.com/wombmoon/wmlunarfertile.shtml

That talks about how the lunar cycle effect fertility, among other things.

Another article on moon, em, moods, etc

This thread is great, I'm definitely going to be reading more on this.

Very stimulating and interesting information...alot to take in all at once, im gonna do more reading but its alll very interesting stuff. I too noticed some nights when my HPS lamp is off on some nights the plants stink way more than other nights, i thought it was something with the temps but im leaning towards mooon cycles.
Very interesting stuff about how artificiall ight exposure is really not good for humans, me and my gf both agree when we do work in the grow room under the hot 1k w HPS lights we get obviously hot n sweaty wich is uncomfortable but we also get a sick n edgy feeling almost shaky. I always wear eye protection but im not about to get a full body light blocking suit LOL.... great information again i wish there were more threadsa bout this kinda stuff(moon cycles, gravity, calendar/zodiac stuff how it relates to plants and male to female ratios etc))

I to have noticed bud and plant size differances from crop to crop and of course yield. same clones same soil the only thing i can think of being different would be moon cycles. i guess i have just been to stoned or lazy to try and figure it out. Im going to give it all a try this next time around. planting cloning and trimming and harvesting.

NYCD - the quote I have on my thread IS about artificial light. But... its only saying that too MUCH of it is bad, time-wise. Meaning, if you don't get enough full darkness in your day, certain hormones can't be produced adequately, etc.

Thats what its talking about...Not that being under an HPS (artifical light) is bad.

this thread is going to further throw my head into space than it is already. lunar gravity, solar radiation, energies of the unknown there is alot of shit that happens when the earth makes it's voyage around the sun. don't want to sound like a tard... but humans have being trying to understand things like this since the beginning of our kind. it has major influence over evolution, society and the foundation of what we all are apart of today. it's not just our moon though. i really like your theory grizz but there is alot more that affects life on this cell of a planet. when it comes down to it we are all organic and evolved from the same periodic table.. it's not just plants that are affected. animals, humans, etc... you should check your local E.R. on a full moon crazy shit happens. people still don't fully understand how much our life is affected by the external. there hasn't been much exploration on shit like this. most of it is done by the government. there is a few projects working on understanding/changing the ionosphere. most of the interest is by the military like i said.. because normal people just don't care about crap like this.. here is the first link i could find for you guys: http://www.earthpulse.com/src/subcategory.asp?catid=1&subcatid=1
it's something we should all know about though. because things being controlled such as the ionosphere affect everyone and everything that surrounds us. it's not a very safe feeling let me tell you what. if more people knew/cared/are capable of understanding things like this we would definitely want to start paying more attention to what is going on in our world and start becoming active in our government so that we could one day hopefully all have our far part/say instead of continuing on with the wool pulled over our eyes, half the shit that goes on with our taxes we don't get to know about and media confuses us and our wants keep us dumb it's a vicious cycle i tell you. we need to know, we should have a stand each and every one of us the way it should be.. evolution is a constant of growth through understanding. sort of like our universe... lol... it all happens so fast and we understand so little. coming back to pot though... yeah, i can see how it is affected by the moonlight. you should try growing in a mine a couple miles underground you'd definitely see some cool shit there. i think they did that one up in canada. supposedly the most potent pot around... never got to try ne tho... :( life is all about feeling, and feeling good is what we want. which is why we smoke pot :p Now if we could try and treat everything organic with the same passion and intensity we treat pot with then the world would surely be a better place for everyone and everything and would make evolution flow smoothly. right now if you compared our society as a bacteria in a resorvior. we would be the bacteria that doesn't help the root growth.. lol.. but we could be.. but it all takes change that goes so deep that it takes everyone as a whole... the water with the bacteria before our kind produced nice stable healthy plants. if you were trying to grow pot using our water the growth would be slowly dying like a plant going through major lockout and root decomposition because we would be attacking all means of new life. get it? lol kinda weird analogy but... you might get the point. anyways sorry for going on a tangent on your thread grizz.. i just feel really deeply about this stuff and i never get an out to talk about it unless people are already talking about weird shit...lol..

i knew i would get shit about this. all i am asking is check it out for your self. the moon effects all aspects of life inside or outside. whether you belive it or not it doesent make a rats ass to me. like i said to start with 20 years ive been checking it out. you can feel the differance and smell the differance. the idea is to time harvest to match the moon cycle. it works for me.

Totally agree.

see. people just dont understand the power of the moon cycles, not that i do either but i know it effects everything on the earth in one way or another.
.

Remember joesy it s always much more simple for people to make fun about things they do not know/understand instead of trying to find out what is really happening.

Of course the moon plays a big part within the earth;

The tide, the movement of revolution of the Moon around the Earth leads a differential gravitational effect (with regard to the gravitational effect moon-earth, on waters which constitute the oceans and the seas, provoking a local increase of the water level on the surface of the earth, approximately in the direction earth-moon, and in the opposite direction. The wave of tide is late with regard to the movement of the Moon because of its friction on sea bed

Winds, being air is also a fluid, undergoes too of big influences on behalf of this very close celestrial object.

The seismic activity, the magma of the coat, present under the solid earth's crust is also in a liquid form wich allows a certain movement. this "activity wich was way more important in ancient time when the moon was closer than now to earth helped the tectonics of the earth coat

Now it is not proven than the moon has an effect on plants but it is proven that it has an effect on fluids/water and if you all remember plants are mostly made of water as we human are too. I believe then logically that moon has definitly an effect on our indoor gardens people.

Or it is at least what I believe.....:ying:
