So this week we transplanted them into 3 gal pots, then into 10 gallon next week? Hooke up the rest of the exhaust system.

I tried to get the webcam going today but ran into a full set of headaches. For some reason both of the routers I have wouldn't let me connect to my VPN account, then my laptop wouldn't connect to the network, then it started to shut down by itself AND once I get it all figured out the fucking webcam couldn't handle the amount of light in the room and would washout so all you could see is white.

BUT I have a solution, I used a Cokin ND filter in front of it which worked good and I just have to come up with a way to mount it in front of the webcam. Shouldn't be hard, I just need some sheetmetal or plastic box and cut one of the sides out to make an L shaped mount with a hole in the center . Then I'll slide on the Cokin holder onto the L shape mount then put in the filter or stack up to three filters. Then just drill some holes on the wecam mount and rivet it all together oh and I'll have to get a netbook to replace the old laptop. Should have it done this week.

Anyways here the latest video

Ok so here's the work around I got going for the web cam washing out because of the bright lights.

The parts that I used were.

Logitch Quick cam ($35) http://www.logitech.com/en-us/notebook-products/webcams/devices/5865 I took it apart and deatched the mount so it was just the cam ball.

Hampton Bay Single Track Head Light (sku 672 050) ($8) but you can use several others in any style. http://www.lightingandlocks.com/hht-1102-wt.html?productid=hht-1102-wt&channelid=BIZRA I had to gut the head light, file down some of the metal and then push in the webcam ball.

Cokin 52mm adapter (I think you could also use the Cokin universal apater ring that has screws in it the you use to mount to any lens. I only saw it after I made my contraption. So when I get a nice webcam I'll go this route. This adapter fits right into the light holder and screws in with some pressure. Its in there for good.

Cokin P filter holder. You could also probably use the A series system which would be cheaper but I already had some of the parts for my DSLR and needed a quick fix. This is the A system http://www.cokin.fr/ico15/ico15-haut.html?=#a

Cokin ND filter (I have a regular ND and a Gradual ND filter)

Also since my old notebook went to shit so I also got a super cheap Emachines netbook from walmart for $198!! CDN. This is actually an Acer One re-branded as E Machines. If you need a netbook get this one. Can't beat the price.

So here are the results.

Its gonna get better once I figure out the live streaming and webcams. Next set will be to get a wider angle or a motorized cam that can pan around.

I'm also working with another person to get a second cam going.

Sooo seems Ustream.tv didn't like our garden so they banned my account :)

There are three other services like Ustream so will go through one by one. If those don't work out I have a couple of other options but those will cost money so trying to do it on a smaller budget right now.

Well I got a replay from a another stream company and their lawyer said it was ok to show a medical garden through their service. I'm just getting a little more info on this and hopefully will have it back up tomorrow..

So the web cam is back up thanks to a streaming host who is open minded :)

They all got transplanted into 10 gallon pots tonight and added the third light. Check them out through the web cam in my sig.

Had to replace the 40A breaker as it was tripping a lot. The old breaker was a GFCI breaker that was used for the hot tube line. Swapped it out for a regular one so hopefully that'll fix it.

Got a new webcam for the place that has a wider field of view. Will try to get it up by Monday.

Haven't had time to get the new webcam installed but will do it this week.

The plants are getting quite big although totaly forgot to switch two of the bulbs from MH to HPS :bump:

I installed a new web cam with a wider field of view but I think its showing more on the horizontal axis then say a true wide angle lens. I also have to use Cokin ND/Grad filters to filter out the intense HID light as it makes web cams wash out and only show white.

I'll be looking into a fish eye lens in the next few weeks to get all the plants/light/equipment into view.
