How often should I flood?

Sorry.......Didn`t understand..........Thought what you were sayin was about your setup.........

And yes your setup is indeed ebb and flow even with air to roots after each feed cycle on what`s left in the bottom buckets.....but.......

Raisin the controller bucket was what threw me off as I thought you were raisin the juice levels of the plants and lettin em bubble , but not as much as DWC levels...and...........it still sounds more hybrid-ish but hey if it works that`s all that matters .......

Feedin that often`s somethin I`ve never seen since the key ta ebb and flow buckets has always been the rootzone drying out period between feeds for explosive root growth and foliage above........looks like you`re supplyin O2 to roots with airstones.....many paths to Nirvana.....

Good luck......DHF......

definately consider it hybrid, but always assumed that it was more of an ebb n flow vs anything else due to more floods and drains.

Brightskies is on the money here. Let your plants tell you what they like. From the sound of it I'd set it to the recommended 3 hours intervals.

I use tables. I started flooding every 4 hours to have the roots search for their food. Now I flood every 2 hours but again it's what my plants like. Just listen to them. :)

Thanks everyone......after a few days my plants looked happy.

I settled on once every 3 hours for 15 mins.

So i shouldn't do ANY in the dark? I did one on the first day just to get them used to it i guess...i don't know it was just scary cutting out all their water for 12 hours....maybe ill do it tomorrow and just monitor them with a green light halfway through.

No feed lights off dewd......Don`t get me wrong , I ran krusty buckets for over 8 yrs with 24/7/365 feed , but....

Ebb and flow buckets are designed for the express reason of the "drying out" period of the rootzone between feeds for explosive root growth while almost guaranteeing no chance of root rot.......

Truly a bulletproof setup that practically runs itself once dialed......

The plants will adapt to no feed lights off since they don`t need it , and the results will speak for themselves......

Peace....DHF......:ying:.......

Yep, what DHF said... no water after dark. Take the leap, I know it is a bit scary.

I'm on my second run with the e&g, 3+ weeks flower right now. I've got 6 five foot tall plants-no water at night. Here's one of them:
