Separate but equal (Plessy v. Ferguson), Slavery is perfectly fine (Dred Scott), Ban on Inter-racial marriage UNCONSTITUTIONAL (Loving v. Virginia), Ban on sodomy UNCONSTITUTIONAL (Lawrence v. Texas).

It is not the states stance on cannabis, it is the fucking federal governments stance on cannabis which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, no where in our founding document does the federal government have the power to outlaw a plant.

We don't have to wait for shit and I smoke daily. Did the unfortunate blacks have to wait for a supreme court decision? Or did they just have to live through a period of injustice?

Prop 19 sucks donkey dick when compared to the Alaska supreme court decision that FOUND a sate constitutional right to privacy, and that penumbra of privacy extended to growing and consuming cannabis on your own property.

If Alaska can find privacy in its state constitution, it seems like a fucking easy piece of cake that the CA supreme court could find a similar privacy right in the CA constitution.

Remember GAY MARRIAGE was CA CONSTITUTIONALLY legal as determined by the CA Supreme Court. Then the FUCK HEAD MORMONS and others in the Golden State amended their constitution to include hate and discrimination (Way to go church of loser day saints).

A CA Supreme Court challenge should be way cheaper than Prop 19, and you only have to convince a small number of already liberal judges. Doesn't that seem easier than a VERY BADLY written prop?

You shouldn't wait for ANYTHING or ANYONE you should live free today and refuse to obey immoral laws.

:joint:

well...this should be easy then! so....whats the first step?

Didn't you say you were prop 215 compliant?

Why would you or anyone else bother? Wouldn't that law also be immoral? It doesn't allow you to just do anything you want now does it? Ahhhh, that's right. It allows the one that has it to smoke and grow......

Sweet. Prop 19 was a 1969 7.0 Liter v8. Too bad they don't make those anymore.

Or wait, was it the car we didn't want but could afford? Now I'm confused...

**sigh** yal need to lose this whole all-or-nothing attitude. its not going to get us anywhere.

when i was 16 i wanted a car. but not just any car. i wanted a 1969 camaro 7.0 liter v8. since i couldnt afford the car. i bought a schwinn bicycle. that bike got me to work to make a paycheck. once i saved up i was able to buy a car. not the car i wanted, but the one i could afford. years later after working and working i was able to get the car i wanted and the hard work had paid off and made me appreciate the vehicle even more then had i just been given it...

the moral of the story here is just because you want something and think you deserve it, doesnt mean your going to get it. sometimes you have to put in alot of hard work, effort and compromise to get to your final destination. otherwise your going to be riding that schwinn around for the rest of your life...

this is a nice story but our personal freedoms dont work like that. as US citizens we must demand the government to not interfere with our rights, and except nothing less than complete compliance from the government. In the USA the people are in charge of the government, and when they get outta line you have to set them straight quickly. you dont wait and compromise. that is like compromising with a bratty little child, that has a gun. you dont do it. you slap them in face, take the gun away and tell them NO!

also just a reminder. the government is here to protect the minority from the majority. that means they should damn well be listening to us, and they are not, so it is time for a hard slap to the face in the form of a million man march!

the camaro is full legalization. prop 19 was the affordable car, making it possible to work better jobs so i could work toward the camaro.

I have never claimed to be compliant with ANY immoral law, unfortunately my personal exercise in the pursuit of happiness still leaves me under 99 plants. I will have to admit that this limitation is from fear of the federal government. I'm an active participant in this game. I produce what I smoke and many enjoy my efforts.

How can anyone in the world justify telling me what plants I may and may not have?

The police and the government are immoral, not a guy who spends his day producing so that others may enjoy. :plant grow:

So the guys who spend their days making kiddie porn are alright because they are making it for the enjoyment of others and simultaneously are persecuted by the police and government who hunt them?

Really in your book "kiddie porn" is production?

Are you asking us to compare Marijuana to Child Porn?

Sounds to me like the guy who spends his days making that stuff is a little too familiar to you.

A better but equally inflammatory comparison would be the guy that spends his day cooking meth.

I will just say that unlike meth and kiddie porn MJ does not pollute or destroy.

I'll call cultivation production and leave it at that.

Since this thread is about Mr. Peron, I would like to say when he was brought to Southern Oregon to speak for medical mj , I found his talk to be kind of disjointed and hard to follow. Does anyone here actually know him?

I know Dennis and in my opinion he is arrogant, rude, off the path and a NON strategic political activist. His time has come and gone. He is no longer helping the movement. I honestly believe that he is all about being in the spotlight. I arranged a debate with Richard Lee on Prop. 19. (one of the few that Richard did personally) Dennis made a mockery and media spectacle of it. It's people like him that are standing in the way of legalization. Believe me, more will come out about the wrong things that he's doing. I think that it's time for our community to turn our backs on him. He has gotten too many passes just because of his past and he capitalizes on that fact. Good bye Dennis! Karma is a bitch.

As far as 19 not passing goes, I know several people that had arraignments postponed until post election and new charges were added to their cases. All of you that are in this community that voted no or didn't vote have that on your heads. Thanks a lot!

Except 19 was a nothing-to-lose win/win situation.

wow... dumbest thing i've heard all week.

you know, "win/win" implies that even if the bill failed, which it did, everyone would have won.

i'm sure that's not what you meant?

LOL when people use common phrases incorrectly.

It was a win for smokers and a win for non-smokers.

You obviously knew it wasn't used in the way you implied, but hey if you want to act like an arrogant douche who uses acronyms designed for teenage girls, mission accomplished.

Screws you can negative rep me all day, not only would it not make a difference (since I have some 5000+ reputation) I really couldnt give less of a shit about rep points to begin with.

As I've said 19 didn't fail because it was a bad prop. It failed because republican and tea party members came out in record numbers to vote in the republican candidates and the majority of these voters are staunch, conservative, anti-marijuana advocates.

It was also opposed by any grower who grows to sell and by pretty much every dealer in California. Greed was a major player in their incentive to keep mj illegal and they will always vote this way regardless of the language. These are people who thrive off black market prices and lack of competition and as we have seen, will do anything to keep their place in this market.

Had prop. 19 been introduced in 2008, with a high democratic and youth turnout, it would have passed.

If you dropped phrases like "any grower who grows to sell" then more people would have less issue with you.

Don't you sell? Aren't you in the market?

I can't believe anyone really believes you hit nails "right on the head"... but it is a fact.

One I will try to get over.

It's truly just a word of advice, but think about using less encompassing statements and the finality of such.

It'll gain some respect, no doubt about it.
