I brought a PM spy into my mothers

So I recently picked up a new strain at a local dispensary that I'll keep nameless for the time being, because it was a cross that I really wanted to try out. Planted her in soil, and put her directly next to my other moms in the area...

Well, the girl has powdery mildew. When I first got her I looked it over up and down, and thought it was clean. Today I noticed a few spots developing and I immediately used a foliar dunk of DM's zone and liquid light (LL is similar to penetrator so I've been told), and after reading up on this application, I feel good knowing I may kill it within a few weeks of dunkings. Now my question is, should I be heavily concerned about infestation of my other mothers if only showing PM spots for a day or so? I've never had this problem before, and I really dont want PM to be a new problem. I do use silicate which may be a good reason my plants have never shown problems for over a few years now, but is silicate strong enough to fight infection? Or will the plants be infected, but show no signs?

So in other words, should I destroy this new clone of amazing cross if its not too late? Or will the application of zone/penetrator do the job? If the room is compromised is there no point to destroy the cut? What do you guys think?

keep treating her ANDthe restofthe room every three days for two weeks and you should be safe but treat the WHOLE ROOM! want to play it real safe go buy a sulfur burner when ur done and run from time to time / when you bring in you new cuts.

I'd immediately lower the humidity for your moms and treat them. If you have easy access to the dispensary along with the means to buy another cutting then just toss it and buy a new one (being that you JUST acquired it). Nonetheless I don't see why you cannot treat the plant and bring it back.

Every time I buy a new fish - it goes into a quarantine tank for 2 weeks. This tank is treated with a special mix of additives used to combat bacteria and disease. After that I transfer to a plain water tank for a day or so and THEN they meet their new family.

Lesson learned and never introduce an unknown stranger into your mom area.

ok, there's a little problem though, but I like where your minds are at!

My moms are in my bedroom, yikes! So I cant really control the RH. When I first started I had roommates, so I had to keep everything contained to my room. Since then, I've kicked them out, fully expanded, but still kept the moms sleeping next to me. I keep telling myself to turn my other room into the mom room, but I've grown so accustomed to sleeping on an 18/6 cycle, I keep forgetting.

So if I can NOT control the humidity, or comfortably disinfect the whole room since it will be almost impossible, what other options do I have? After I dipped the baby, I also vigorously sprayed the entire area that any leaf could have touched or affected. I know spores travel via wind, and they could go everywhere, but I think I did my best since the mothers are waaay too big to dunk.

Is it too late to quarantine this one now? The spots just showed up today or yesterday...

Do you have an AC? Crank that baby up! Leave the AC on for a few days. Sleep in a hoodie and sweats. After a few days the spores will have no choice but to go away. Limit your feeding of the moms to exactly what they need to stay alive. Don't drench the soil since it increases humidity. Leave the mom lights on 24/0 as to give them a little comfort from the continuous ac. If you can get your hands on a dehumidifier then skip the ac. The ac removes moisture from the air very effectively. Ultimately you can skip the ac and just burn sulfur but I've seen people really fuck their plants up by burning too much sulfur.

EDIT:
SCRATCH THE AC IDEA!

Just some info on PM for various plants. Their first defense recommendation points to the sulfur.

THC123 - Thank you brother. I normally rely on my dry environment to fend of PM and you just taught me that you can catch it in a dry environment as well :) That article start off saying that they like the dry warm environments too. Very good to know..

What's the clone blueberry?

First off...pm is systemic. Even when nkt visable the spore are in there..waiting for your air exchange or rh to turn in its favor and come fuck you.

Now if your a guy like me...if I see some clone I MUST have, I dgaf if it has mites or pm or anything if it is healthy..because I wipe shit out and im not scured...im on a tight prevention program .

The clones from these clones will have pm...the clones from clones from clones will have pm.

If you have never had it and you got it from this collective you SHOUL 100% name names and let us know who sold you crap and notify them and tell them.

Remove those clones..get your money back and bleach everything...run your rh at 45%....pm can hurt medical patients and ruin whole crops.

Dude you're a smart grower! I tell people the same about bacteria from dealing with fishtanks all my life. Bad shit is ALWAYS there just waiting for the environment to turn to it's favor and then "BLOOM!!"

LoL Get it - like boom for a bacteria bloom :)!! Haha okay I'm getting corny now.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Now if I can just get my main question answered: Do you think my other mothers are infected now? If so I'll keep this new strain. However, if the mothers are safe, should I destroy the new clone to remove all risk?........ how easy is PM contracted between plants, is it too late with one or two days of VERY little PM showing? Or is it like AIDS, you touch it, you got it?

Same with me, never going back there.

Is PM treatable post harvest? Found some buds that look questionable. I got some Greencure for next go around but it doesn't say anything on it about post harvest.
