How long to veg to get 8 zips per plant? This is in 5 gallon DWC buckets with 1KW lights vert style.

it's not 8zs or vert or hydro... damn this has nothing to do with your question. But I still think you should look this over. It'll give you an idea.

Factors include:

• Your experience (most important)
• The strain
• What your lighting arrangement will be
• The style and design of your dwc buckets

But experience has always taught me that smaller pots and more girs makes for Top Results

Also topping plants has always resulted in higher yeild, maybe an extra week of veg but plants can give off 25% more yeild easy.

I've been growing for around 5 years in soil and hydro, but took a break for the last couple of years. The strain is Wonder Woman by Nirvana Feminised, supposedly a pretty high-yielder. The DWC buckets are just regular 5 gallon buckets with an airstone in the bottom and a net pot filled with hydroton in the lid. Nutes will be House and Garden. The lighting arrangement is going to be 4 1KW in an 8x8 space with 4 girls around each in a vert style grow with bare bulbs hanging in between the plants.

My friend grew a sativa to around 4 feet (but LSTd so it was short) and yielded around 5oz from a 250w CMH.

well, as others have pointed out, all depends on the strain/pheno and the grow space alloted. My black domina was fewer pots, bigger plants, bigger yield. Some naturally smaller stature plants though, lots of clones, top em all a few times, and SOG the shit out of it.

id say veg for about 40-50 days and train em good

my last 4 bucket rdwc under 1k I got 4oz per plant with 32 days veg

Wow so probably 5-6 weeks veg then maybe 7 thats awhile and its going to kill my goal of 4 harvest a year damn...

Every plant is different but I would think that would take like a year and you would have to cut and prune the shit out of it cutting it to top it or LST it...but I had a plant veg for several months and was pretty big under a 400w HPS, but if you have a few thousand watts of light it may be a lil faster...but even that plant only produced an ounce and a half at most after it was dry...though it looked like it was going to be a lot more...but every plant is different and this one was shittier then I expected...but my 1024 turned out great but I still smoked it all in less then a week so it couldn't have been more then an oz, though there were a few good sized colas...I do smoke a lot but it is usually like a oz or oz and a half a week...and no matter how I try with 2 400w lights (1 CMH and 1 HPS and several small LED's and big CFL's) and I can't for the life of me grow enough to where I can actually let it cure to full term without smoking it all 1st...mainly cuz the bud around hasn't been as good as it usually is but costs the same...

But 8oz a plant you best be growing outside in a long summer area...

Yeah Im trying for 2 lbs per light in a vert setup so with 4 ladies per light I need 8 ounces per plant, I wanna keep the veg time lower though and somehow get 4 harvest a year so maybe more plants vegged less would be what I need to do.

I vegged for 9 weeks and my White Russians are monsters. I veg with a 30,000 Lumen T5 and flower with a 1000W HPS ...

This guy does basically what you're trying to do. He hits 2lbs a 1000w every time. This is almost exactly what I think you're trying to do.
