Thanks sum nice to see ya. Things are ok. I ran into a little rot just now but hopefully its going to get taken care of with a few things. We need pics from your grow. I cant wait for the IBL.

I hope the rot is going to be fine with a flush, Physan20 and Hydroshine. As far as the Pump issue I just had to get larger drain lines. I have 1 inch now with 1/2 inch feeds and 1/4 inch reducers. Works like a charm now.

So my local grow shop told me that running any DWC type grow will automatically have some kind of Root Rot. I asked him why and he said because roots arnt supposed to be in that much water. Is he wrong or is there a way to always keep RR out of my system? I have been letting the nutes sit for about 3 weeks, now im going to go down to about 10 days to try to help this situation.

imho he is a f*ing retard. RR comes with the lack of oxygen in the water. There was some discussion bout it in the organic hydro. The idea is to get all of your water to move constantly so that there is no dead spots in the root zone. As i understood you can easily spot this by checking your roots. Where there is brown the water is standing. So you have to start adjusting your system somehow to get water circulating in that spot.

Thanks Prowler. Ill try and read into that. I think I can fix that with a larger air pump. The one I have now is a piece of shit. I just bought a commercial 3 for the veg system and its so powerfull that the bubbles make a wave from the bottom of the buckets to the top. That should move the water around. Thanks again.
You should go back and tell that deuce to stop giving advice on stuff he dont know shit about,also tell him to stick to ebb abd gro systems if his vagina cant handel true dwc.
man i swear i havent been to a hydro shop yet that in keen in any sort of dwc or rdwc,iv been to shops from nor cal to portland and none of em even heard of undercurrent.
just be careful on what people from shops say,they just say shit to sell sell sell!!!

The physan20 is an aggressive poison/sterilizer.
The thread I linked to earlier from one of Krunch's threads describes a program of maintaining a dead reservoir.
Bleach at some ungodly low concentration... I've written it a million times, but don't have my notes handy... will also keep your solution dead, so it's just the girls sucking up salts...

Oh... I don't want to seem like I'm getting down on the RDWC scene. There are definitely monster grows out there with the MPB and UC systems (most running dead reservoirs)... But I personally can't afford to loose any more of my little gardens to them. I blame the toxic hose I used to plumb the whole damn thing, and I've had successful systems in the past... when I have the resources and enough meds jarred up to take me through a total fuck-up, I'd love to do another experimental/fun run. Until then, I'll grow in coco and harvest gardens and not be more scared than excited every time I open up the door.

Your main water source is kept cool right?? Just trying to picture this situation. Can the root rot be staining from the nutes or do you actually get that smell and slimy look from the roots? Have you tried running straight tap water without over-nighting it - the chlorine will help with pathogen control.

Its the slime now im sure of it. I did drain and add strait PHed tap and from the looks NO MORE SLIME. Yea. I will still get the Physan 20 though. I thought I had the perfect grow this time. It will come in time.
Today is day 37 and there's no slime. The buds look good. The Ice is amazing once again, It smells so nice. I got seeds in the PPP and WA im not sure why. Maybe just a genetics thing. The PPP and WA look to be purpleing a little also. You can see a little nute burn as well, remember this though, this is my second grow. Ive got alot more to learn and grow.
