It has been going on for years, but the last few weeks I have been losing my anger.

I used to be such a rage filled, anger filled person.
Now when someone hurts me. I am so shocked by my lack of rage. ( I actually feel sorry for the people that try to hurt me.)
Now when I see a person being an A-Hole to someone I feel so sorry for them, I can see the pain in there face. It's as if only people who are hurting lash out.
It has been quite puzzling. I am getting there. When you hold a grudge, you are only hurting yourself. I have heard people say that for years. It now makes sense.

I see that alot as I age, the things that I have heard forever, now I finally "hear" them.

I am not perfect, but I'm working on it. I used to be peeved by those super positive up beat types. Now I am morphing into one of those people.

HAs anyone here gone from being an ugly rage filled person, to a relaxed peace fill person.

If you would share,
I would love to hear your stories.

peace

I would say so, but I don't think it counts as any good thing on my part.

Brain damage = personality change for me.

all people develop
aggressiveness is a good trait, only when mastered and used in situations where you consciously made the decision to make use of it. but getting angry doesnt have many benefits

i admire the way you wrote how you changed your views, and that you realize past mistakes and express them. props to you

As our government gets more repressive, and our rights are continually taken away from us, I find myself getting more angry. As media is used to control people and distract them from the real problems of the world, I find myself getting angrier. As the world gets ever more crowded, and our own personal space and control over our lives is diminished, I find myself getting angrier. Frustration leads to anger, and it seems we are being more frustrated at every turn. Big brother is making me angry.

<<<<<RIGHT HERE

weed makes me calm and understanding, when i dont smoke/or not high, i have a very short fuse and would probably be in jail for anger related crimes(physical abuse, murder...ect), when i was younger i seen a nimber of councilors and psycs, but they did not help any at all....the only thing that helped me was weed, it makes me calm, forgiving, i guess the best word i can use is ZEN. i always think of others and am very generous, i like to put myself in others shoes so i am very understanding......i like to live my life righteous and good according to moral values, and believe that you should treat others the way you would want to be treated.

but that doesnt mean i dont get pissed off every now and then, i mean...i am human...

but weed has taken 90% of any anger or rage i had inside me.

sure i let mister angry out once in a while...then i zip him back up !!

I go through waves. Elections tend to bring the hate back out in me. So does being surrounded by couples. Being the only single one left in my group of friends. FUCK ME. Seriously, someone, please fuck me.

I used to have a small security company that looked after bars in Wanchai (Hong Kong) during the 80's....

....and I did a study of how anger affects men particularly....

Often the U.S. Pacific fleet (or parts of it) would come into port...e.g. The Nimitz, U.S.S New Jersey and other Naval vessels full of testosterone filled guys who had been corralled on a ship with thousands of others for weeks/months at a time with only weight training/exercise to appease their aggressions....

Once free of the ships and on dry land many of them that had built up petty vendetta's against other guys on the ships would lean towards violence as if to absolve themselves of their anger......But I found that if there were plenty of women around for them to go with often you could diffuse this anger .....Problem was that there was never enough ladies to go around, and those that were there had been going with the resident British garrison and would often help create potentially violent situations by then taking up with the Americans because they had money to burn....lol

....It came down to my assumption that there is a 'Fuck or Fight' mentality amongst men, and if guys are getting plenty of poon-tang they are not usually considering getting embroiled in violence/anger issues with other guys....so most guys prefer love over war....

So to summarize....I think that alot of male anger (and possibly female anger) is linked to sexual needs ....aka FRUSTRATION.....and a good woman can sooth the soul of the most angry and violent amongst us.....

Herb calms me down and I find the more I smoke the more angry I get when I don't smoke. Meaning. Im an addict. When I dont get my fix I get grouchy.

The thing is I say "herb calms me down" but would I even be angry or grouchy if I wasn't an addict. It's a fucking catch 22. Anyone else feel like this?
