"The Plant Sensor will measure sunlight, temperature, water drainage and fertilizer"

That all well and good but what use is a gadget that measures things beyond our control?

Seems like a silly idea to me..

It appears to let you know what would be best to grow where. You can bring this sensor around parts of your garden that get more/less light/drainage/organic matter and maybe check your window sill and potted plants.

It will suggest what you cant grow/can grow I think.. Or at least give you the data to suggest it yourself.

Those things are not beyond our control. Not enough sun? Move the plant more directly into the sun or lower the growlight. Water drainage is poor? Add perlite and/or vermiculite to the soil mix and repot the plant. Too cold/too warm? Adjust the ventilation, turn up the heat or AC as necessary. Too much/not enough fertalizer? Add more or less fertalizer to your waterings.

I was referring to the outside applications of the thing...

you have complete control over where you plant a plant outside, and what type of plant you plant, and how you prepare the soil ahead of time, and how frequently you irrigate, etc...
