I am looking for some input on the Durbans out there, who has the better taste and yields Sensi or Dutch Passion?

Are there some others that are a better choice?

Looking for a keeper.

If you're near SoCal, you can find a cut of our 'Oreo' plant. It's an F1 cross between the afropips source of DP and an unknown strain given to me by a friend from Germany. The high is pure electrifying, psychedelic, talk inducing DP but with much more potency, huge yield and a faster finish. An improvement on the pure DP in every way. Since Oreo is an F1 hybrid, it is 'clone only' for the time being. We're working on a seedline, but early results show that it may take some time to stabilize.

From what Ive grown, heard and worked out...
Sensi's Durban is crossed with something pos. skunk or afghan.
Dutch P's is more sativa but still not 100% Durban.
Afropips seems the real deal.
Back in the day African seeds had 2 Durban lines both of them authentic but longer flowering and less liquorice smell than afropips.

I used to have a couple Durban lines sent direct from SAfrica such a shame they are gone now.

Btw Zeeland nice plants k+

That shit sounds sweet.
I know it wont be the same stuff but I have some bud that looks very similar and has a slightly tense but enjoyable sativa high, has a light smell and loose buds.

Repost... check out this one:

Anyway, It's going to be a hard one bro... sadly but most of the durbans around are hybrids and have some skunk on their genetics. So all of them are going to be durban hybrids, just like the Dutch Dragon plant from Paradise Seeds (which is a great strain by the way).

The only that sounds more trustable is the one from Afropips... what a pity that the seedbank closed recently. The real pure Durbans aren't that fast. Durban is located at 29ºS, so it's still a very tropical place, the light and the maturation of the plants are very similar to Mexico or Nepal... around 11-13 weeks or so, but in my opinion, no way less unless it's been hybridised with faster skunk/indica genes !

Also check out this true Durban landrace line from Tropical Seeds Co. They're working on them currently, maybe in the future you could get the pure line or f1 hybrids.

The strain from Germany that we used to cross with the DP shows similarities to the old 'cali citrus' strains that have been around California since the mid seventies. Many of the plants have the lime green coloration and upwards tilting sunleaves that you might see in a compact Mexican sativa like Michoacan. Whatever the 'german strain' is, it's decidedly un-skunk like and, other than compact growth habit, is quite sativa-ish in other ways.

We recently finished 9 75% (1xBC) Oreo ladies, and though there were some nice keepers, none had the same smell/flavor profile of their mother/grandmother. I inbred brothers and sisters of this generation, and will look at those next. For now, Oreo is definitely 'clone only'.
