I'm looking into possibly purchasing a trim machine, carpal tunnel syndrome sucks lol, and was wondering what the best current trim machine for the money is? I am looking for some thing in the $2000ish range maybe a little more or less is better for sure. I am looking for a machine that number one does the least amount of damage to the buds and still gives a pretty good trim, while at the same time saving time. Any suggestions and experience? And if you know of trimmer not to buy bring that up to.

Look at lazymans threads he makes the trim reaper (brand new 1500) work for him. His bud looks excellent after processing. I have a trim reaper too but I dont like it. I say nothing like waking up on monday morning and hand trimming.
I can't really get help from other hands, its a solo mission. I'd rather hand trim too, but carpal tunnel is a serious issue and I know I am not far from it, thats why I am looking in to the machines. So you don't like your trim reaper? I was looking into those, what don't you like about them?

Well first off i bought mine used for 800 off craigslist so that may have something to do with how crappy the end product comes out.. One thing that I think sucks is that you have to trim the bud wet. It kinda tears the leaves from the bud. Its all dependent on what strain it is and what you are using the buds for sale? personal use. Look at lazymans threads he does a good job with it..

Trim Pro is a pretty decent machine. gotta fix stuff by hand but you can easily remove 90% of the trim without damaging the flowers.

Yep I like the Trim Reaper, half my crew big leafs, the other half snips buds off the stems, and I run it through the machine (4-6 oz at a time, 3 minute runs) and rack it. Our record was 4 pounds in 1.5 hours, with 7 people on one trim machine.

Purchased one (Trimpro Rotor) this year and I couldn't be more pleased with it.
$1260 all said and done and delivered in less than 1.5 weeks.
Lazyman's description of how he works with his Trimreaper is right on with how I do mine - cept I only have 2-3 trustworthy friends available for help at any given time.
Bud Damage? Not too bad, but if you take a nice prized cola and hand trim it you will def notice a difference - no getting around that. I will tell you that I started trimming my colas by hand and doing the rest through the trimmer, but soon it made more sense to me to break down the colas and check for mold while everything is still fresh. To each his own.
Trim Quality? Again, not 'as' good as a careful hand trim, but much better than I had expected from reading about other trimmers. It really does well on small popcorn like buds, some of my bigger baseballs will have 2-3 tiny sugar leaves that got flattened down along the bud - this doesn't bother me, it might bother others.
I doubled the size of my outdoor grow this year in terms of yield, and got everything finished in less than half the time it took me last year. Trimmed, dried, weighed, bagged, etc...
My overall stance on this trimmer is that it's worth the money. Minimal damage and the trim is more than good enough quality for the amount of time saved. Keep the blades and everything cleaned and wiped down every so often and you'll be glad you made the purchase.

Rotor works great. Just popcorn it and rip off the big fan leaves.
Did about 3lbs in around 3 hours the other day. Was just 2 of us preparing and running it. You could get a lot more done in 3 hours with a few extra hands preparing the buds. Normally that 3lbs would have taken us all day, probably like 14 hours. The rotor really did seem like a lifesaver.
Can't say enough good things about it. Saves so much time. Well worth the investment imo.

i say go with the procut fast its only 1100 new, i used it and it works great, trimmed 36# in 14hrs with 3 ppl

i rented it from the hydro store for 175 for the weekend(did 2 days of about 7 hrs each) so i didnt get all the extras, like trim catch bag, the tip stand, new blades...ect
edit- the only down side is its hard to clean, but you get atleast 6 grams of great hash from just scraping the thing, lol......but if you buy it i guess you could remove the motor and soak it in alcohol....

Awesome guys! Right now I am debating between the trimpro rotor and the trimpro procut fast. They seem very similar to each other, except the procut is a few hundred cheaper. I am wondering if one is superior to the other in terms of the quality of the manufacturing, will one last longer, etc.? Joe Fresh, so can you take the top part off of the procut and and use it as a trimbox too?
the top rubber fingers come off in one piece, but the metal rim is screwed to the rest of the machine, so you would have to unscrew the rim, but i think its better used as is, if you want a trim box get a trim box, but if you want an automated trimming machine for a good price that gives a good job, i would go with the procut fast, but the bigger model(i used the smaller one) to speed things up
