12/12 light staggering for vegetative

I have 8k in my garage in two lines of 4k, next to each other. my question is, I want to save a little electricity during vegetative phase (24 hour 8k is crucial) what i want to do is run 4k 12 hours, then the other 4k 12 hours, staggered of course, not one side then the other, to maintain as much light coverage as possible. im wondering if doing this would stress the plants too much and start preflowering? the room would maintain its 24 hour light cycle, but all plants will endure 12 hours of weak cast off light. should i just cut down to maybe 4-6 lights for veg, or will this stagger configuration work?

i have the cap boxes and all that shiz, just a matter of plugging up lamp cords and timing them

I think that would be fine because plants only need 1/3 to 1/4 the amount of light during vegetative state than they do in flowering. Personally I would go 18/6, and alternate 9 hour cycles, but I'm sure everyone has a different opinion on this.

I know a few people around here doing this. What they do is have lights switching every 2 hrs and it works great

awesome. ya i probably should go back to 18/6, but ive been on 24 for a while, i need to change in between crops, or i believe they would preflower, going from 24 down to 18. thanks guys , very helpful!

I went from 24hrs. to 20-4 for 2wks. then 18-6 for 2wks. then 12-12 and my kush never presexed. They have been on 12-12 for 3wks. now and my girls are flowering real nice. This is my first grow and I'm doing just fine with cfls and store bought nutrients a fan and diy co2 maker in my closet. I can't wait to smoke some home grown bubba kush grown by me. cool. I'll let every one know when they're done flowering in maybe 5 or 6 more wks.. Hopefully my girls treat me right like I am them. Gots ta go 4 now my 61yr. old ass needs his night time smoke so he can sleep. Bye all for now.
