a little smaller then mites, move about the same speed. found in my coco...I run perpetual and I found them in a sample I took from some plants that were finishing. Whatever they are I plan on finishing out what I have in flower, then switching over to mediumless hydro for a bit...oh I'm also seeing a few of the perlite looking little chunks which I guess is the eggs or w/e.

I also saw some white slender thrip looking bugs crawling around in the same container...I have a few thrips. Isn't there a beneficial bug that looks kinda like that? long white and slender...moves pretty quick too. I can't remember where I read about that one. they were about the size of an adult thrip, but the adults I've seen have been yellowish and not white.

just looking for an ID plz.

thanks alot in advance. :tiphat:

were they on the roots?

looks almost like root aphids.

if it IS root aphids, you'll need chemical insecticides to really get the job done, plus you should probably sterilize your entire room.

hope it isn't RA's.

hey stealth those white bugs float to top of water and spring around?? those are springtails and really are no harm... however the other bug may be a mite or aphid for that matter... have you have any fliers that you thought may be fungus gnats...?

look at this page looks like what you have...

http://www.google.com/search?q=root...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

or google root mite... if you do have root aphids... you need to go to home depot and pick up bayers complete insecticide.... keep in mind you should only have to use this once on ALL of your pots but it will stay in there for a while i do beleive you need 55+ days for it to get out of your flowers... so dont use if you in flower unless your doing a long ass strain...

It's tough to say. It looks like some younger root aphids. A ton of people have been getting them, myself included, so expect that it is. Someone else might be able to help more on the bug ID.

You want to be 100% sure its root aphids before you start applying any Bayer. Bayer is the only answer for aphids, but you really want to avoid it if you can.

thanks alot for the quik responses..I'll hit up all my mothers with bayer just in case, but I think they're contained in the flower room. Damn dirty clones. I'll try to get some better pics later tonite of them.

I do have some flyers. I'll catch some good pics of them too.

no matter what they are I'm not worried. I'm higher on the food chain n shit lol.

edit: oh and on the bright side I'm gonna have a bunch of coco to throw in the garden next year:dance013:
