If I was this guy, i would wake up this morning, drink a cup of coffee, smoke a joint, and get down to business.....BRASS TAX.

First things first: Lets find a great pro-pot lawyer. The best that money can buy, since the City of Seattle will be the ones paying for him.

Secondly, I would bring charges up on the D.A. , The Mayor and the ENTIRE Seattle Police Dept.

Thirdly: After all paper work for the suits where in place, I would call every news station in the fucking country that would want to do an interview on me, about this bullshit! Every newspaper, every online blogger, ANY MEDIA OUTLET I COULD TALK TO!

Get stoned again and laugh my ass off and thank God that this happened, He has a case that he can tell the Country, to really show how fucked up these laws are, and how these gun-toting Cowboys with a fucking badge are treating productive members of OUR!..OUR FUCKING SOCIETY!
This shit has me so pissed off, I want this guy to own the city of Seattle when its over, and when they want to settle out of court, tell them to get fucked! See it to the end, get paid and make an example out of these people, including the pussy Mayor that has "No Comment".....

THIS SHIT HAS GOT TO END! I don't even give a shit if this dude wasn't LEGAL, IT was 2 fucking plants, We are a cash-strapped nation, And, from someone that works EVERYDAY, 50 hours a week, I DO NOT WANT MY FUCKING TAX MONEY GOING TO BUST SICK PEOPLE GROWING A 1/4 OUNCE OF WEED EVERY 2 MONTHS...PERIOD!

This is what people want to continue? This is the golden days of marijuana that will get worst when legalization ensues? Give me a fucking break. Its time to legalize this plant and end putting innocent people in danger over something as elementary as marijuana.

If a 50 year old war vet growing 2 plants in a tiny apartment can be subject to raid, that means anyone can. Dont think your safe because you have a little card telling you so. Lets legalize marijuana and put our law enforcement to battle real criminals. Its 2010 let the legalization begin!!! Vote for prop 19 this tuesday and vote for whatever legalization comes up again in 2012. Its time to make this happend people. This level of enforcement against marijuana is insanity!!!

Oh yeah, what about the proper role for the media? They are supposed to be the watchdogs of Govt.
Seattle news people should be reporting the hell out of this, provide the actual cost of the bust, and sticking a microphone in the Mayors face and demanding answers.

If you live in Seattle after calling the Mayors office, please call the media outlets and ask if they plan to properly report this and let them know how you feel about your tax dollars at work.

I think this type of tactic by LEO needs to be subject to some serious scrutiny...maybe it's time to make new procedures that are safer for medical patients...what is it gonna take for the LEO to stop treating legal medical patients like hardened criminals? Is it gonna take some vigilance? Serious retribution and lawsuits? I think if LEO is using illegal tactics and relying on fear, intimidation, and brutality to bust medical patients there stepping over the scope of there duty as a oath sworn law enforcement officer who is paid by us to protect and serve us. They are realizing who exactly they work for...when police action is more dangerous than the drug itself than enforcement has clearly stepped over the line and it's a complete failure...Clearly law enforcement tactics must be reviewed and realize there actions are more harmful than the marijuana is...and change policy so that this isnt the case....I guess voting has never been more important..even on a local level...we need to vote in and enact a law that will hold these officers liable for there actions to the utmost full extent of law...a law to protect civil law abiding medical patients from being subject to being brutalized, robbed, unlawfully jailed or detained and humiliated. Obviously medical marijuana bills arent enough. We need to vote in more than law stating we have protection from arrest...we need protection from these tactics LEO uses..laws that hold them accountable for there actions...pretty bad when we have to protect ourselves from our own tax paid officers that our supposed to serve and protect our well being and safety...what a fucking sham...the whole local , county, state law enforcement needs to be subject to public opinion where more than just the heads of office can be voted in but all officers should be voted in and if they are criminal, corrupt or go beyond the scope of there duty's they can be voted out..plain and simple...the country needs more than health care reform..we need prison reform and law enforcement reform..

You know what really pisses me off when I hear shit like this is the fact they call themselfs "peace officers" than grab their fully automatic assault rifles and tactical gear and go smash in a helpless law abiding citizen's door like he just robbed a bank or killed 20 school children.

I just went through all the trouble to become legal. Just to find out that even though I am legal, they are still going to fuck up my house. All to end with, an 'opps', and 'hope you have the money to fix all the shit we broke'.

Stories like this used to get me steamed. In my opinion the officers at first where protecting themselves, however once they where inside and saw no threat why treat the guy the way they did?

Only part that bugged was that they brought a dog to his door to sniff? Wtf that seems like invasion of privacy to me :/

Just had to add that at least they didn't take the plants, I assume the officers involved probably thought they where going to find a huge garden haha.

At least he got to keep the plants!!!

F-n overkill. Didn't the guy doing surveillance, who walked by with the dog notice it wasn't a hangout over run with gang members, but a small apt with a single resident?

Luckily no one was seriously hurt, ya know using a gun thinking it was a taser or something like that.

They were probably just filming another episode of Cops.:angrymod:

There is no other side to this story. Every bit of information about the incident can be found in the news reports. In fact, major media outlets never use hyperbole or outright lies to garner more attention for the product they sell.


Woops, sorry, just woke up from my dream world and took off my rose-colored glasses. Who are we crucifying without any real information again? I'll get the torches and pitchforks!

This is scary. I live and washington and my fucking tax money is going towards this shit.

like honestly. a drug raid for 2 plants!? and the guy is fucking legal?!?! i want to talk to this guy and have him sue the shit out of seattle PD for making this horrible mistake.

also its extremely scary because i have 4-5 friends that are all Med patients so its hitting close to home for me.

I have explained this tactic used in other posts and had a few people not believe it.

"officers had applied for a search warrant from King County Superior Court, sent an officer with a drug dog to sniff at the door, “confirmed the scent of marijuana,”

Happend to my guy, sent a dog to his door, got a hit and busted it down..warrents are too damn easy these days. Im not saying thats the only info they had, considering they sent the dog in the first place...but still....crazy shit.

^Seriously...the judge issueing a warrant based only on the dog sniffing the door is as big a story as the way the cops busted this poor chap.
