When seedbanks advertise flowering time for certain genetics is that the time from seed to bud or how many days of flowering the plant will require?

People also should bring up the fact that these flowering schedules are usually based on clones and/or perfect growing conditions.

Search the strain your growing ,Youll get a better idea from seeing hands on jurnals or threads ,Thats what I started doing Plus you wont wast dough on poor genetics ;)

lotsa "breeder descriptions" are for "entertainment purposes only"....you may get very different results than whats described

yea bro. everyone pretty much hit it on the nose. another fact is trichomes tell the story of the strain way better then a description can. study the strain and grow a pack. wen flowering keep an eye on the trichomes around the time stated in the description. this is the only tru way to tell a plants ripeness..wish you the best of luck

You answered ur own question...flowering time means how many days of flowering...

I was only asking because a friend thought it was time until flowers (buds).

I know these are rough estimates.

You can veg indefinitely so if it was time from seed to bud there would have to be some assumption of how long the veg cycle should be... So it makes more sense it is how long you flower the plant.
