Hi
Had hermies which sorta destroyed my entire crop with seeds.
Just curious how it could've happend
There is no light leaks,
No Nute burn at all.
No heat stress at all...

Anyone know what could be wrong? could it be the nutes i used?

it more than likely was the genetics. the cuts/seeds you used either were from herm genetics or had a high sensibility rate. whered you get em?

I am sorry to say late season hermies are fairly common. You might have done nothing wrong. Were you growing from seeds or clones? It's not something breeder specific or anything. It's just a trait that most strains exhibit.
Where were the male flowers? Came right out of the top buds? Lower Buds that got less light? I bet it wasn't all your plants.
Part of selecting a good mother plant for me is seeing how hard it is to make a plant that doesn't show male flowers stress into hermie-ing.

As I see it, Hermi-ism is a trait.

It comes in degrees, vareying from not a chance to ain't no way to avoid it.

It can be stress induced - or it can be a genetic trigger during the flowering stage. Wazit strain starts hermi flowering at about week,,, 2,3,4,5,,

Now you see the advantage of working clones, once you know what to expect it gets easier. Seed starts, - can be a crap shoot.

On the bright side, it is easier to de-seed your own stash then buy someone elses - which may have seeds.

Hermi plants breed hermi offspring - that is the trait that made that seed - so count on it being at least as prevelent in the offspring - if not more so, than the parent.

I've tried picking the male flowers a couple times, it seems to piss them off and they grow more. And you will never find all of them.

Hope that helps!

Your mileage may vary.

dump the bastard, not worth running it again.
That's the problem with buying clones from dispensaries, you get CRAP, you have no clue what you will get, most likely they are named wrong or are bag seed like most of CO clones sold. clone are a crap shoot.

Seeds are the BEST way to start.
Get a proven strain and work it.
Hermies are cause by stress and bad genetics, ie...feminised seeds, autoflowering, etc...

in 25yrs 100% of my seed starts NEVER hermied.
recently the few clones I have purchased, herm'd BS
That's the med scene, pure crap unless you grow it yourself.
go buy some proven genes.

I doubt the herming was caused by your roots. They look ok to me. The buds too.

So I agree with the others - your STRAIN is the problem. It is a whiny pussy that eagerly wants to herm. I had this problem too, vigorous growth and big buds but them bitches hermed as hell. So I had to get a new strain. Trust us, get a new strain!

And no, pollen needs female flowers to work. So no flowers - no harm/seeds. Pollen also has only a short lifespan in a normal environment. But to be sure cleaning up between the runs is recommended.
