Dinafem's Power Kush.

So I recently ordered from the Boutique, and as a freebie I got "Power Kush". So like any good stoner, I went looking; to answer those important questions; like Who Bred it? Standard or Feminized (since the freebie only had a name)? And how good a smoke was it?


To my astonishment I found it was a cross of my favorite landrace and one of my favorite strains of all time. Afghani x Skunk, by Dinafem, digging a bit more I found that they pretty much only came in feminized as should have been evidenced by the breeder's name. But I had to continue digging to find out more. Nothing else came to my eyes and so I am assuming I got some of the freebies from the multi site Dinafem freebie bundles that apparently went to a large number of seed banks.



So my questions are,


Anyone here that has grown Power Kush?

Does it live up to its ancestry or does it have a bad rep for hermies or whatnots?

I also got a Power Kush freebie. I had a super fast pheno, which finished in about 45 days, seriously. It didnt yield very well due to it finishing so fast. I run a 84 site aero system and I discontinued this strain due to it finishing 2 to 3 weeks before my other plants. It is good smoke, very crystally, and smells like gummy bears. Mine was very leafy and a bitch to trim.

I dont know why they named it Power Kush. Its not a Kush.

I got a freebie last winter, It was a very nice plant. I cloned the shit out of it, and ran it for awhile. It was nice and frosty, with a nice pine taste. The buds were dense with good bag appeal. It was good, but not kill IMO. Id say grow it. GOOD LUCK

i got those freebies in late june.
i ran 1 plant indoor and 1 outdoor.
both were harvested a month ago and are smoking up nicely.
smells nice, both of mine are kinda orangey smelling.
the high and taste are good, and only getting better in the jar.

Im running a five pack right now... really vigorous and they look like they will yield well!
They look very similar to another skunk hybrid Im running at the same time.. almost identical.
BTW... I'm pretty sure afghani is a kush... like hindu kush region?? OG kush and relatives are not real kushes

I ran 5 of them found 1 keeper that makes rock hard nugs and finishes around day 56-60. Give it the lucas formula, It loves the shit out of it in my aero system. And Im pretty sure I got the exact pheno the description is taking about!! Mine is easy to trim, All nug!!! And to top it all of I got them for free from the boutique!!! Fifty dollar pack of seeds for free, NO COMPLAINTS here!!!

TIP: First time I ran Power Kush I used the rezdog formula, second go I used the Lucas Formula and got way better results!! Im not saying rez's formula is bad, its just a heavy eater i think.
