Bud HELP!!! PICS!!!

Well not so much problem as dilemma. As a noob, I made a few mistakes and my plants are a little behind in flowering. The strain shown is Female Seeds Grapefruit. They are on their 7th week of flowering and they are supposedly an 8 week strain. I am going to give them nutes an extra week (8 weeks) and then flush for atleast a week until they are done. Does that sound good? I have a microscope but it is 60-100x and my hands suffer from micro-tremors (shaky hands). Trichomes appear clear still, but I cant really get a clear view. Does my plan sound reasonable? Or should I just start flushing on the start of the 8th week and wait til they are ripe to pull? I don't want to cut nutes while the buds are swelling so fast, but at the same time I don't want to wait too long and not get a proper flush.

they didnt start packing on the crystals til 6 weeks in and the buds look rather small, they aremostly white hairs still. I hope they arent more than a week or two behind! they smell soo good i can't wait to try.

Here are a couple pictures of the Grapefruits. First 2 are my good plants, 3rd is a giant plant with buds that are behind the others. How far along do they seem? What will the long cola yield? Just a few questions some experts much be able to help with. BTW that is a 15'' ruler, not a 12''

you sure they are still growing and not stunted? they reason I ask is cuz I have had the same problem the plants look done but the trichs never go white, I see your in dwc so they shoud be all white by now you may have had a set back so hold off on the flush untill they are at least all white.

thanks guys. As far as stunting goes, these plants went through hell. I tried on my 1st grow to do 100% organic in DWC... Didn't work out as expected. I switched to synthetics about 4 weeks into flower and the plants exploded. I figure i'm about 3 or 4 weeks behind in flowering. THey have been throwing lots of hairs and the buds are really swelling. Crystals are forming like crazy and I can see growth daily.

I know you are supposed to judge by trichome color, but I do not have a steady hand and looking through my 60x scope looks like an earthquake. Judging with the naked eye, I think they are weeks out from being done. I know breeders tend to put flowering times on the short side, but what happens if flower too long?

I'm just anxious because I have 10 plants in my veg tent that are getting too big. I have to tie them down several times a week. I am definitely a noob and jumped in WAY over my head. Atleast I am learning a LOT.

i'm not sure if the pix loaded or not.... so here they are again

its done when its done my friend some 8 week strains take 10 or 12 if stressed or any number of things can affect flower times but most people say its a such and such time when its really longer all you can do is watch your trichromes and when its time its over aloha cls

Classic Seeds is right i had a sdog look like there was no bud at all and stringy but the color of the crystals told a different story. and the switching of ferts could of played a roll too its just hard to tell. i can see from your pictures i would wait longer but i have also took clones and the clones did a much better thing then the seed plant did. so good luck.

It does not look nearly done to me. My guess would be at least 4 weeks more. The buds would shrink to nothing if you cut her now and the potency would be next to nothing. A magnifier is great once you get to the harvest window and want to harvest at the exact right time. But you don't need it before that. I have never seen a plant that was ripe with more than 70% of the hairs white. If you have a hard time with your scope, compare your buds to others on the forum and the stuff you buy. I guess you know what good weed looks like, yours should look like that but bigger since it shrinks while drying.

thanks everyone. I appreciate the help. I don't think they're coming down anytime soon. Which is OK with me because I'll probably beat my OZ per plant goal with such a long growth cycle:laughing:

I was just wondering how far along they seemed. They look like they're on their 4th week of flowering, so 3-4 weeks more it is!

Should I start a differnt thread to log these? I ditched my old log of them when i switched to synthetics bc it was in the organic section.

oh yea, since i'm using Sensi Bloom A & B, and Big bud, should I use Overdrive as well? I'm thinking i'll use Big Bud up until I flush. I like Advanced products, but it just seems like they try to get you to buy every single little additive... :thank you:
