do I just water as usual, about 1/2-3/4 gal?
or should I use more water?? 2-3 or more gallons a watering?
how long do I flush? should I use drip clean?

last I ammended my FF OF, some of its still probably active.
will that affect anything?

Flushing is normally done during the final 2-3 weeks of flowering. There is a lot of debate over weather or not organic programs even need a flush.
To flush you can use a product like clearex or molasses water or just water if nothing else. You want to give em twice the container size worth of water. So for each 5 gallon container pour 10 gallons of water through, a lot huh?

not sure what drip clean is?

kranchbubble posted a thread on it here

dissolves salts buildup.
yeah that is a lot of water, i did a search after posting and found a plethora of
flush posts, many different ways to skin the cat it seems.

one guy said he chews on the stem of a fan leaf, if its bitter it needs flush,
if not then your finished
I tasted mine with no flushing, they don't taste bitter at all....who knows

There are TWO kinds of flushing...don't confuse them.

One eliminates nute overages/salt buildup from the soil...it's done quickly using several times the containers worth of lightly nuted water.

The other is the last two weeks or so that you don't feed the plant to SLOWLY remove built up nutes in the plant.

hey ibj,
yeah, I know theres two types
I'm kinda doing both.
never once flushed through the grow.
some are dropping yellow leaves and going on 7wks
so I started on the 5 that are ready this morning and put 2-1/2 gallons per pot.
the water was clear coming out.
should I flood em again before just giving them reg watering.

btw, why would use lightly nuted water if your trying to flush salts, overnuted soil or final few weeks?

in 5 gallon pots 50" and taller, a few 64" but I bent the main stem at 50".

It wasn't necessarily directed at you...it was for anyone not knowing the difference...that one word is used two very different ways...and it seemed some were using it each way here.

Yup, droopy yellow leaves...buildup, root bound, in the end she dies anyway...right? Mine look like shit by the time they're done sometimes. It doesn't seen to matter much.

Everyone says it's better at picking up the salts...like "primed" water...and more importantly...it doesn't shock the plant with NO nutes while the flush is going. The plant roots are ALWAYS taking in water/nutes...it never stops. It's like choking you for a few hours while someone gives you a colonic flush. It's said it's better to give them some LIGHT...we're talking 1/4 strength...nutes when flushing.

I don't flush either. I've go nowhere to do it...so they suffer...
