ethylene... its a myth.
the sex of the seed is set in stone at fertilization. M F or intersex

rofl...looking for an argument are we? :whistling:

in one post you say it's the grower's fault for a plant turning hermie with environmental conditions and in another you say environmental conditions have no effect on the sex of a seed. which is it??? it can't be both... lol. you are showing your ignorance by contradicting yourself.

my experience: 100% hermies from dutch passion, fem and reg. environmental conditions can contribute to something being hermie but so can genetics. --- the point was stay clear of dp unless you want hermie genes.

you have no proof that the sex is set in stone/seed and you are promoting a theory that is not widely accepted. most experienced growers support the theory that environmental factors contribute to the sex of a plant, just like in humans--in almost every cannabis horticulture book you'll find evidence to support this. as humans, we were all females by default until environmental conditions turned some of us male...this has been proven with science! why is it so hard to believe this is the way it is with cannabis too?

ethylene is not a myth and has been proven to promote females. read up. products like sensa soak are proven to result in 95% females.

fem seeds have their place...they're not for everyone. they are more likely to show hermie traits when a hermie/altered sex plant was used to create a fem seed but regardless, with any fem seed you're virtually guaranteed to get buds. i wouldn't start a family from a hermie but that doesn't mean they're useless--buds with a few balls is still better than a plant with no buds.

way to get off topic with the fem seed argument that has been discussed repeatedly. i will step aside for your ignorance. you win the gold.

on my 1st grow, got 3 BOG and serious seeds AK47 fem'd seeds.
2 AKs are nearly done
they look like they'll yield pretty good, nice calyx to leaf ratio on both.
nice resin production.
easy to grow too.
I had no probs, just water and feed them
you'd be happy with AK 47

BOG gear was as comparable with some strains and way better on others

I just finished a bubblegum grow from TH Seeds. 9/10 germ 7 females 2 keeper phenos. Very frosty for outdoor smelled absolutely amazing - one chemical/diesel smelling pheno and another "sweet" and fruity pheno - and potent. Energetic and creative and cerebral. I would gibe the bud 8.5/10 Definitely worth the money. That being said, I have seen people complain about THseeds more than Serious on the whole.

In may opinion, in regards to Dutch Passion and Greenhouse Seeds, the more new a strain is the greater risk that the seeds suck (either from Strain Performance or Other Biological Problems).

BUT... I once grew Dutch Passion's 'Holland's Hope' outdoors and it absolutely KICKED ASS in yield and smoking/vaping qualities (it was a "I'm going to sleep now, nothing can stop me."). Tough Plant that had to go through a high wind storm season, THEN LATER, during flowering, it fought off mold very nicely for 3 weeks where the mold spore count was high everyday along with high humidity and 55 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

also during that season...Greenhouse Seed's 'AMS' had decent yield and very nice high. It was Mold proof.

Yeah ill second dutch passion sucking balls, Have grown out quite a few of their strains. About 50% were fuckin hermies. Never again will i order from dutch passion. Tried the tundra which wasnt autoflowering at all or feminized, blueberry, orange bud, and twilight, didnt find 1 good keeper, everything was garbage to be honest.

Go with serious seeds
