What's new

DJ S's auto flowering males.

I love flo,the look, the smells, the aromas and especially the high.
Half my grow is dedicated to her and I don't see that changing any time soon.
I'd love to do something outdoors too,but there's a problem. See,I live at a very high latitude(almost 70 degrees north),so even the fastest flo would never ever finish.
Reading threads around here I've noticed a couple of the blue strains, especially F13,have high occurrences of AF males.
This got me thinking.... If I got one of the stabilized LR/BB hybrids like blue streak and pollinated with an AF F13 or Flo(does auto flowering happen in flo?),would I have a higher occurance of AF offspring than if I used a non-AF parent?

Is my vision of a polar-floberrey under the midnight sun a pipedream?

i already work on flo and F13 crost too my auto Haze and auto blue haze (auto blue berry x auto haze)first genarations taste and smell great but more wen i got it more stable

Thanks for your time La Buena Hierba, I appreciate it.
A few more q's if you don't mind:
Did you use male or female F13s and Flos for the cross? If males, were they AF?
Would you say your ratio of auto's was higher or lower then expected?
Did the F13 and Flo's effects show up in the high?

I'm really stoked to hear the smells carried over! That to me, indicates that the terpene profile of both strains carried over into the offspring. People over in the dj section seem to think the aromatics of the blue family greatly contribute to their euphoric effect.

i use F13 famle cutting and flo's males and females .

the low yieling is not there they where big bud the bigger yieler was the auto blue haze cross (my auto blue haze =big yieler)
(this is for the tested plants few f1 seeds where grow by friends)
now getting new f13 cutting gone work on heretoo still look for f13 males
sorry i can explane lot more becorse my english bad
more on this next year hope you got enof info

Thanks again, man. Sounds like a cool project. Looking forward to see the fruits of your labor.

Upon further consideration I might just start at the beginning,i.e. getting some packs of LR#2,some flo and some F13.Start doing selections on the DJs indoor this winter and do an all LR outdoor next year to find the ones best suited for my area.

I'm open to suggestions on other possible AF strains to get the party started, but seeing as I'm aiming for a heady autoflowering plant I want as little indica as possible in the mix.

if i whas you i will go for the autoflowering BlueBerry and auto AK47
why both have thai genetics if them (for but you dont have lot too select from with auto's

i will cross and select the f1 for F13 type;s (and if one autoflower that one too)
i will cross the most f13 types from the auto ak xf13 and autobbxf13 too each other.
so f2 will be (auto ak47 x f13) X (autoBB x f13) select indoor for f13 types and autoflowers.
i think with the f13 x auto you will have lot of autoflowering in F3

hope you bit understnad what im seying sorry for my bad english

Gotcha. So auto BB would be a good choice for the auto parent in this cross? Makes sense when I think about it...the dj genes are already in there ready to go. Sour 60 has my attention too,it contains both AK and BB if memory serves.
I like your idea of starting with two different lines and combining the most desirable expressions from each line. I might just copy that!
