Stick with the buckets hey DWC top feed in each,If you put them all in the same res it is hards to fix specific problems, because how do you fix one plant if the rest aren't broken.

You'll thank me later.

I learnt the hard way.

2 lights in a 10 x 10? He should up it to 4, at the very least, if he wants to effectively use all that space.

In a perfect world he'd set up a recirculating DWC system ala "Med Patient Buckets," but that would require a chiller and A/C

extra lights add extra problems to growers who havent run that much lighting. 2 parabolic hoods could cover 8x16. 2 vert bulbs without hoods yield like crazy. I would use 5x10 of it and do it against the wall. how big are these girls?

I would say 2 systems if you have the money that way the work is split up at harvest...just my 2cents. Look into the ebb monster system. There is a diy for the controller and other than that it's almost the same as a RDWC. I added up the cost of OGRE'S diy controller and it appeared as if the parts for the controller alone would cost somewhere in the range of $180, so the RDWC controller is obviously more cost efficient if that is a concern. Good luck!

Have you looked into the hempy bucket system at all? There is literally no power/equipment usage for the buckets themselves. When you get into the more complex systems, running chillers, water pumps, etc. there is more room for failure, especially equipment wise, plus the initial cost is much higher.

I am doing 25 hempy buckets right now, all vegging under two 4' 6 bulb T5's. All of which started about two weeks ago from clones, and they are doing exceptionally well. I am running all 6,500k bulbs. Currently using GH three part nutes, a few drops of superthrive, and a little B1 on occasion, plus some sugar additive all PH'ed at 5.8.
I am very happy with the system thus far. Used to do RDWC and soil, but I can honestly say I am sold on coco hempy.

We built a flood table, and we water until overflow, which drains into a small plastic tupperware tub. Very simple clean up.

For flower, we will be using the same setup, but with 2 1K watt 4'x3' (not too sure what the measurment is, but they are HUGE) hoods running dimmable Lumatek ballasts. Our room is divided in half, so we have bloom on one side, and veg on the other.
