should I top my plants

I'm a big fan of topping. If there is a lone branch making it's way above the rest of the canopy...top it, problem solved and 2 new bud sites will replace it.

I hear that. I looked at tons of pictures here n' elsewhere before I got cut happy....but it's two days later and I've noticed no stunting whatsoever. Matter o' fact the growth from the new "tops" is looking pretty damn good. Hows yours looking?

They are looking real good fifth, just flipped them to 12/12 sat. & new nutes. They are really getting bushy!

Good to hear crazybear. Yeah I haven't the bush thing to worry about. 5th + razor blade = not only topped but defoliated.
I mean if it was green, I hacked it off. Looked like a bloody skeleton a week ago. Looking awesome now though.

Did someone say indica? Next time try a SOG, trim the lateral growth if it grows too far out from the main stem, don't top them, try single cola style, clones in at 4 per/ sq ft, you'll love it. Just my 1 cent worth.

SEA OF GREEN, SOG seems to be overlooked as an old style of growing these days, pity, cos it is very effective with indicas especially. The only issues are maintaining mums, a very reliable cloning method is needed and high plant numbers. I don't worry about it, one plant is illegal where I live, so what's a few more? No veg time, quick turn around. Single colas, I reckon, are the way to go. No topping but some may disagree and that's alright too.

SUPERCROP is twisting and bending the stems. They flop over increasing light to bud sites down the entire stem. The stress of the wound also causes them to produce more bud sites.

MONSTERCROP is reveg of a female at the end of it's cycle. Cut the big colas off. Leave some lower branches with leaves and a little bit of bud. Put on 18/6, HID preferably. Veg nutes and plants develop multiple branches, more than achievable by topping.
