If they dont stink in veg can they still be Dank?

Well the title says it all can you have good genes if the plant dosent smell dank in veg? I've got a few plants that really stink in veg and I've got some that dont and come harvest time the one's that stink in veg are the stand outs, the kushes just stink all the time .So I'm wondering can a plant be dank and not smell like a weed plant in veg?

Some stink to high hell in veg, some smell not at all, some reek your house out during flower, others smell mild, yet at no time did such a thing as strong scent or lack thereof dictate how well they smoked.

All strains I or a friend has run, that have ver little scent in veg, though some of them are right stinkers in flower.


Then there are some of my other strains that absolutely reek in veg, one of which finished gorgeous but is all looks and nothing under the hood (discontinued on all my network of friends tables now).

dude out here in cali people could care less if it gets you real high and it dont smell like weed the way we check weed here is we take a wiff of the bag if it stinks real good people will be like man this is real good so I would say no if it dont smell real good thats not dank Ive grown stuff that gets you real high but didnt reek and nobody gave a fuck the stuff wont sell so I would say dank to everyone else here in cali and not just me is smell and high there's alot of good weed out here.

Sure I have had a few strains with not much smell but if I had the choice between the two I would have to say the the stinkier the bud the better it is IMVHO.
Now if you can think of one bud out there that has not really knocked your socks had no smell ,Do tell?? lol peace out Headband707

A local pheno of bogglegum is relatively scentless, carrying at most a light floral armoa, no "stink" but its a damn fine smoke.

But in defense of those advocating stink of all the strains I have had and or grown, the one I like the most is the one that absolutely stinks to high hell in veg and flower.

thats what I was saying headband 707 and caille the ones that stink all the way through just seem better to me I have a few that dont smell much in veg and the smoke dont compare to the stinky ones

The best clone only strain I ever grew PK reeked in veg.. she reeked all the way through.. She was and will always be my fav.LOL .So IMVHO when they smell in veg it's a good thing lol..peace out Headband707

No, my most smelly(in bag) strain....SFVXChemdog(woot Rez)......does not smell at all in veg.

I would say that the local Bogglegum pheno is a solid 7/8 depending on who you are asking. Its strong, not the strongest, but noticeably strong and has a really nice smooth high.


Again though, the local Dutch Treat pheno which is most smokers' I know around here's favorite stinks through veg like a mother and then kills carbon filters with its righteous stank in flower.

So while I agree that stink is not the end all be all, I still have to say it seems to indicate good things when it is present.
