It's a conversation that stirs a whole lot of shit, we just need to remember to stick together and not fight over stupidity. the social group sounds like a good place.

some great pollen shots there! thing looks beautiful, people forget that's what it takes.

Very Nice Cali!
So...apparently my usage of Monterey was not quite sufficient
picture.php

Whats a crack up is that bud is an outdoor, shade grown Blue Moonshine that I had spent a good amount of time manicuring. Then the bud sat on my trimming tray for 2 days before I took the pic. I had seen some damage but didnt notice the first catapiller till AFTER I snapped the pic & I only saw the second Today. Sneaky little bastards! I've already done another round of Monterey for the girls I still have going & I had pulled 3 plants earlier that didnt show any damage ( or yield crawling fuckers 2 days after manicure).

This weather is making getting things dry tough. I actually pulled all my harvested stuff into my room & got the de-humidifier going. Oh yeah....I'm also battling botrytis on my seeded outside girls. Serenade is helping but I think I'll need to pull those seeded girls down soon & just hope the seeds are mature. Who said growing fine herb was easy. Good thing it's a labor of Love!

EDIT
Hey Cali,
Speaking of labor...how long did that trim take? It looks like it could have been painful.

YO GT, I noticed eggs being laid all the way til harvest, and tons of eggs when I was cutting so Id cut them off of the leaves even if it was sugar trim. Anyway, took like 2-3 hours trimming with help from my girl so thats nice. Last time I sprayed was about two weeks before harvest.

Green Ice stacked macro, eh, I still dont like the results. I need to play around with it more.

Sup guys, it's been a while since I've stepped in; been lurkin' though :)

@cali: Great looking. I bet that chernobyl could pass as indoor! Just curious, did you get that cut from humble, or Ape? How do you deal with smell? Does the fact that SD doesn't allow outdoor plants without a secure greenhouse affect how you do things?

@grow tech: I feel ya man >: ( damn caterpillars got a fair amount of my crop this season as well. Almost every single grower I have talked to from below the bay area (quite a few) has had problems with caterpillars. Even a good amount from up north. This was my first outdoor grow this year so I wasn't expecting/prepared to deal with those specific pests but learning via experience is the best way to learn! I have read about trichogramma wasps and that they are a good (preventative if I understand correctly) combatant.
What is this Monterey you speak of?

Sorry for all the questions guys!

I plan on starting my indoor soon here. Been working on my walk-in closet, ~8x5x8. Got a 100 amp breaker put in there and an 8,000 BTU AC and the carpet pulled out leaving just concrete. Can't decide on whether to paint the walls flat white or use mylar, probably the former. Seedlings are underway and breached the soil 3 days ago. Doing honeywhite which were some seeds I got on the server fund and (Trainwreck/OG Kush x Chemdog bx2).

The bubblegum I ran outdoor this year was from T.H.Seeds and despite the very few reports (most negative) I was very pleased with a few of the phenos. Short flowering time, resinous, smells awesome and potent. The allen wrench cut that I drove down from santa cruz also performed quite admirably. Here is a picture of the second best bubblegum pheno (the smell is very volatile - almost like gasoline mixed with a fruity/berry smell lol).
OD.Bubblegum (sorry about the blurriness in the next 2 pics, don't have my camera atm)

Here's some purple kush from a previous indoor run:

Haha thanks bro I will let people think its indoor and then reveal its true identity and surprise all haha. I got this Chernobyl cut from a good buddy who has connections, cant really say more than that but maybe he will let you know himself. The smell, well I only ran her outdoors and even if I had run her indoors I don't worry much about smells. I have no filters as I live slightly in a canyon and the wind does a good job at hiding the most of it I suppose. Been growing at this spot for years now and have lived here for more than that. My neighbor's also are cool with me and what I do so I am very lucky. I would say the smell was super ridiculous strong and dank though, so if your worried I would invest in filters. Well your supposed to have a green house and have it locked right? I have thought about the fact that I have plastic covering all sides might help me in defense and I have locks on the gates to enter my house so maybe I could argue that fact? But to be honest I could give a fuck less, I see the Heli's, they see me, there's bigger fish to fry I don't have much. Eh. lol.

---thanks to nata there are three people who were not registered to vote who will be voting in november....and guess which way they will be voting on 19?:)...thanks bro for putting it up there...every bit helps!EDIT: i should say-three new, non smoking voters who registered at my insistence for this issue...its amazing as i started asking around...all my friends i asked who are heads, are all already registered, and not recently, because of 19, but long time registered...my friends who arent heads?...amazingly, shamefully low percentage of them...and two of them said-"well...i got my drivers license...does that mean im registered?" im voting yes cuz i now believe pot makes us smarter.

Monterey Garden Insect Spray (Spinosad)

It's the stuff to use for thrips & catapillers. I should have used it more but it's always a fine line between spraying & not wanting to put anything more on my plants when theyre flowering.
