Just to clarify - the H.O.G. that I assume everyone is referring to is an Oaxacan sativa given to me a few years ago, and documented in the Highland Oaxacan Gold thread in the DJ Short section, page 47:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42695&page=47

Maybe we should start referring to it as Oaxacan Gold, as 'O.G.' is no better an acronym...;)

This is 100% correct, everyone should make a mental note of this for future reference so the true origins aren't confused down the line.

It is 100% authentic late 70s Oaxacan, if you look at pictures of Oaxacan from back then the similarity is beyond doubt.

I can post some pics of Oaxacans for reference if anyone would like to see, I have collected a few as I'm a big lover of Mexican weed.

On Heavy Duty Fruity, dunno what it is exactly but the Juicy Fruit from Sensi that HDF is probably derived from was done by Nevil during the time he worked for Sensi in the early 90s, he used a Thai to make it, he said it wasn't a great Thai but the taste and yield of the hybrid were what made it worthwhile.

If you can find the time to do daily handwatering then coco is brilliant. You can miss watering a day or two and as long as the coco doesn't dry out the plants don't miss a beat, you just don't get the best performance if you don't water daily. It's important not to let the coco dry out as this will cause accumulation of salts and mess with the PH, it's almost impossible to overwater in coco as it aerates so well and with smart pots or air pots it will be impossible to overwater. I've started using 25% large chunky pieces of coco mixed in with my regular pith coco and it seems to be working better, the water passes through the pots quicker when I water and it seems to be giving greater aeration and more vigorous growth. Next run I'm going to do 50% chunky pieces 50% pith and water three times a day to see if it increases yield, I have the time on my hands to water three times a day so I figured why not try it.

Have you tried galuku coco it's much coarser than the canna coco which i rekon has a pretty fine texture and holds a hell of alot of fluid, maybe even too much. If your growing in big pots this galuku stuff is great for the early stages as it does'nt get too waterlogged .
Don't get me wrong I think the canna coco is really good quality ,man it's so clean it's almost edible but i just wish they had more variation in the types of coco available .It would be cool if they did a range of different textures of coco in their line up like fine, medium and really coarse :smoker:

STUPPA have you looked into the Canna coco Cogr slabs? As far as i know they are coarser and the feed is different, apparently you have more control over the nutes. Im pretty sure i read it in the Canna magazine iv got, but im not 100%. I do agree also that the Canna coco can hold a bit too much water sometimes but for me in really small pots with clones seems to stay wet for too long..

Cannaboy i got my neem from Perpetua Neem in wales i think they are still going not sure though my bottle just ran out from 2003..

The COGR slabs are a bit coarser, but I can get profit disks from my usual hydro store so I mixed some of them with my pith coco, it definitely gives me better drainage than pure pith coco does. Not seen the Galuku stuff, I'll keep my eye out for it.

Good idea on a cup bman, I had a similar idea. There is a tiny island just offshore where I live that has nothing on it apart from a pub and a ruined castle, we could hire it for a weekend. We had my 30th birthday party there a few years ago and it was a blast, we roasted a whole pig over a barbecue pit and generally regressed into wild savages for a couple of days.

Gotta water that Canna coco real gentle till the root zone is developed enough to cope or they will end up waterlogged and stunted (especially problematic during early seedling stage).
Peace

I'm already planning the island smokeout, been talking to some friends about getting everything ready for next summer, it will be strictly invitation only and I'm picky about who I'll invite, only people with spotless reps such as londinium, eddie s, banana man, elevator man, ganja baba etc. LLP of course fits into that category! No fake rastas though.

We wouldn't want to come to your cup anyway you fucking dickhead!
You are a confirmed security risk!

But yeah the general idea,, local cups are healthy on so many levels,, onshore,, offshore.. its all positive  Whenever ppl enquire about LGA Cups,, we tell them to organise their own,, and so the movement grows.

Jah bless...

Looks very nice and healthy. I've grown chemo and blockhead and both are big yielders in their own right and very potent. The chemo lacked smell/taste but flattened a few people with it's potency, the Blockhead had it all - yield, taste, potency, sadly I recently lost my keeper blockhead and worst of all it was the highly sought after P19 pheno, I was gutted about that.

I got 1 issue with the A cup... when you say we do it then??? And where because,, it needs to be kinda out the way!!! I tried to sort 1 out and some entry's were not ready and then it was the issue of it being the hottest place on the planet for a day!!!

It's like how do you hide everyone on my contact list on Ic in a hotel and who pays???

Also like how do you get the same in a manor house or a farmhouse without cars causing suspicion think of your fellow growers!! It would take out all the good growers and nice people friends and leave the commercial cats to rule!!!

Its Illegal so sponsorship is out and I aint selling out to big buisness..

Gate crash all of us at Centre parks Caravan park,,

Its Illegal so sponsorship is out

Nonsense! (with some respect)

Sagarmatha Seeds (jah bless them all), HQS Seeds (respect), and GrowDoc (full props to him) sponsored the 1st UK / LGA Cup, outright... as did the LGA :canabis:

Franco / Greenhouse Seed Co. have already sponsored the next LGA Cup  So what's all this illegal bullshit about? what? you want red bull to sponsor us in the struggle? think again :D until then we in it up to our ear-holes as we've always been... cant keep a good vibe down... cause that would be really wrong

I n I got some bukku-snizzle-dizzle GK-Kush ready for then... liveo.. so beware hydro heds n snaffle fiends,, docleaf comes back again to organic flower power you all out :biglaugh:

peace n sticky green things!
dLeaf :joint:

remember "you'll get rolled-over trying to fight the movement!"

I've used allsorts Dr. D ,i've even used the coco and latex bonded blocks in a continually running drip system ,that was fun LOL. I used to use B'cuzz slabs and break them up but that is still very absorbant compared to this galuku coco i rekon , it has alot more of the outer husk or whatever it's called, and that does'nt seem to get as "wet" as that finer stuff.

i got a place in mind for a cup and there's a hotel next door.
there's and amazing view and there's enough land at the place to set up a marquee with a space heater in it for if weathers shit.
my mate owns and erects marquee's and should do me a deal on whatever size we need, but obviously we would have to contribute to make it happen.
i've got some decks and speakers, and people would be welcome to bring their own music.
when would people be up for this?
