Unless HOG, in this case, stands for highland oaxacan gold?

Good G13 Haze. Nah, I have never smoked a G13 haze that I have enjoyed. I think the best place to find that lovely ghanni haze smoke is in the MNS afghan Haze.

Glad I have never smoked or grown the blues now. Seams to have more bad juju around it than some of the others.

Yup, HOG is in reference to the Oaxacan.

I'm not a fan of the G13haze, the Affie in it gives it an accrid edge I don't care for. I expect Nevil agreed with me and that was why he chose to drop it and work with the NL5Haze instead.

Elevator Man pretty much nailed it on the Blues, it's a bland uninspiring Skunk imho. I hate Skunk, boring boring boring. lol

You can take Eman's words on the Blues (and just about anything else) to the bank. I'm not saying why but he has seen and smoked lots of it and he knows what he is talking about. He's also way too mature and seasoned to go anywhere near anything even resembling a silly BS game.

Last time I am saying word one about the Blues, time to move onward and upward to better and less controversial things.

Here's the three Bilberry test females at last (1, 2, 3 L-R), at many weeks in (I can't remember). Virtually identical, except that #2 is a little more stretchy and branchy than the others. All stems smell of sweet skunky berry, so looking good. I've cloned all three, and will make sure they're rooted before putting them into flower.

They'll be monster plants, as they're already growing too fast, and I'm putting these in Air Pots too, for the first time, so this could be where I finally realise my grow-chamber just isn't big enough...;)

Nice one e-man. You should try coco in a couple of those air pots, I just found out my grow space isn't tall enough if I veg things two weeks, SSH and Jack Herer are rapidly approaching the roof, coming up for 3 weeks of flo and praying they stop getting any taller soon as there isn't space to bend and tie down. The explosive growth of coco will blow you away I'm sure and if you add some taste enhancing goodies like kelp and molasses it tastes superb too.

I've been using molasses and bat guano as additives since I switched to organic, and they're great - better yield and delicious too. I've also recently started to mix in 25% coco with the organic soil mix - just to see what happens. Those first plants are in flower now, but early days yet It's all BioCanna stuff, and I fed a coco-potted plant for a month with no ill-effects last year, so we'll see what happens. In Air Pots too, it could be ridiculous...;)

Thing with coco is if you water it with the same regime as you use with soil you get only a little more performance. If you water daily till 20-25% runoff you get vastly increased performance. I know it soulds expensive on nutes but it doesn't have to be. I collect the runoff, add another litre or two of water and then add nutes to put the EC back where it should be and use it again the next day. This cuts the nute use down to a mere fraction of what it is when you mix fresh nutes every day. I can go through three quarters of a litre set of Canna coco a+b on a typical 10 week flower run if I mix fresh every day but by using this recirc method a litre set can last me 4 runs easy. If you do switch to straight coco to try it, adding some humic/fulvic on top of the bit that is already in Canna nutes really helps, with soil you already have a load of humates in the soil so the small amount of humic/fulvic in the Canna nutes is sufficient. I gave up on the bat guano as an additive in coco cos I couldn't see a difference, the molasses however I consider essential, gives more taste and resin, the difference in quality is definitely noticeable. I also use large amounts of kelp for the trace elements, aminos and extra K, I have loads of powdered kelp so I can afford to use it in hefty doses, the powder is dirt cheap compared to liquid seaweed extract, the kelp and molasses together are an unbeatable combo as additives imho and as both have a good amount of K in them you do see increased resin. PK13-14 has the wrong ratio of P to K, it should be 1:2, that is, twice as much K as P, right throughout flower, so PK13-14 is great for growing lots of flowers but doesn't have the right ratio to promote tons of resin, this is partly why the molasses and kelp increase resin as they add K and put the P to K ratio up to where it should be.

If you can find the time to do daily handwatering then coco is brilliant. You can miss watering a day or two and as long as the coco doesn't dry out the plants don't miss a beat, you just don't get the best performance if you don't water daily. It's important not to let the coco dry out as this will cause accumulation of salts and mess with the PH, it's almost impossible to overwater in coco as it aerates so well and with smart pots or air pots it will be impossible to overwater. I've started using 25% large chunky pieces of coco mixed in with my regular pith coco and it seems to be working better, the water passes through the pots quicker when I water and it seems to be giving greater aeration and more vigorous growth. Next run I'm going to do 50% chunky pieces 50% pith and water three times a day to see if it increases yield, I have the time on my hands to water three times a day so I figured why not try it.

Note : Hog / Hog's Breath is an indica dom. clone from overseas (USA). Thus calling High Land Oaxacan Gold 'HOG' ,, is slightly confusing. It sure had me confused :D

Hi peeps gr8 thread! I was wondering if ne u guys could help me?. I received a clone off a friend it has 1-2 and 3 fingered leaves 3 maximum (must b indica). When i smoked it years ago they said it was heavy duty tutti frutti it stinks more than blueberry kinda like mazar kush /rocklock smell but 10x stronger. it has purple leaf stems. wWill put pics up asap oh and its a 7-8 weeker. Now from the description can any 1 relate it to a uk only cut?

Yes. HDF / Heavy Duty Fruity... is a clone in the UK... with purple stems

If you re-pot the clone it will revert back to type as it matures and produce 5 leaf and perhaps 7 finger leaves.

Hope this helps

I do not think that the HOGs breath that THseeds used to make HOG with is the same as H.O.G - Highland O Gold. As doc says, its a USA indica dom clone. In theory there is only one HOG cut, loads of HOG phenos from THseeds and then loads of H.O.G as this is generalised term given to any Highland Oaxacan Gold plant.

Just wanted to throw that out there as LLP describes his HOG like a Highland.O.G.

hey AFGHANICA79 that hdf sounds nice, there was a really good cut of that gettin passed round by my friends a while back.
It is amazing m8!. Its a weed that u cannot go newhere with cos it stinks that much! The stench on ur clothes after having a spliff is unreal. The taste is exact same as the smell and the buds are big fluffy high calyx to leaf ratio it must b like a northern lights dom hybrid. But a m8 said he heard the strain is a jack herer x white widow(no chance) here are some pics not very good ones though
