hey whats it mean when i get a rep point an its either green or purple. what do the colors mean?

Green is positive rep--
Red is negative rep--
lol...I am not sure what color the other one is, gray, or purple as you called it, means the person giving it to you doesn't have enough posts to give/take rep...so it is neutral--

On this note...I am sorta color blind...and the green ones and the red ones are VERY hard for me to tell apart--
