Flowring nute advice

Easy, I'm going into flower next week and I need some advice on nute amounts in flowering as I dont really trust the canna grow advice as the ending ec is way too high for 0.8 hard water. I'm gonna be using canna boost and hammerhead with coco a+b cannazymn and rhiz.

What I really want is some advice from people who have the same hard water as me and what they do with the base nutes and the flowering nutes. I've been advised to get my base nutes to 1.2 before adding flowering nutes i've also been advised to just add flowing nutes and only add the base nutes when the plant needs it. I dont know if this is good advice what do people think?

:thank you::tiphat:

0.8 is some damn hard water. Don't know about Canna but, there are special hard water micro formulas just for people like you. While I've never been an RO advocate in general, at 0.8 (yoiks!) it may be something you should look into.

FreezerBoy as usual gave you excellent advice...0.8 is really high. I'd also suggest you "build up" some RO water. I use tap...but mine is 0.4, not THAT bad. I add just a hint of pH down after adding nutes, and I'm golden.

IF you did a full bore analysis, you could custom blend a nute mix for your water...are you feeling ambitious?

Might want to check with the water department and see what is actually in the water. .8 EC water right by the coast could be a tad scary. If you like the RO water but still want some minerals you can do 1/2 and 1/2 or whatever ratio suits you best.

Explain? this is my 1st grow and I think custom blending is beyond me. RO would be nice but I live in a flat and space is limited.

Unfortunatly .8 is pretty standard in the middle of the UK.

Cheers for the replies anyway peeps:thank you:

I'm using canna because that seemed to be the standard on these forums when using coco. Cheers for the reply.:tiphat:

Simply stated that if you have very hard water that is high in calcium and such that you use some of the products that are designed for working with water rich in calcium already. A lot of nute companies have different versions of there bloom ferts for people growing in soil or who have hard water. The recipes are different and reflect the need of the grower in different areas and environments.

I would still suggest trying to find out whats actually in your water. You can probably call your water company or go online to get better information to what is in it. If you do a little local research you could probably find a lab close that can check the water and let you know whats in it.

If you live in an old apartment building or house you could have a lot of copper in your water. Whatever is in the water though can build up in your medium and possibly cause the lock out of a different nutrient.
