Holiday in Turkey. Any info on IBL seeds???

I will be two weeks in Turkey. Any information on sourcing IBL seeds would be appreciated. Will be Istanbul heading South along the Black Sea. I figure if there are any IBL's to be had, it would be Indica. I prefer Sativa, but would love to add an interesting Turkish IBL to my collection.

Given the severe situation in Turkey for possession, should I even bother?

Seeds might be harder to find then hash. I say make some good friends with the locals, stay very low key, and have some $$$ to bribe to police, money talks and poor smugglers get 17 years in Turkish jail.

turkey is truely on my list of places not to visit ever.

i guess you could have some decent time on the beach. just stay away from touristy places.. couple a friends wen't there last year and said they were offered anything from weed to smack from a fragrance stall.

Turkey is a very chill place. I know Americans who lived there and were treated with nothing but respect by helpful Turks where ever they went, including the police! However they turn into something else when they see foreigners getting involved in the drug trade. They allow Turks to more or less run the hash game because it keeps poor farmers feed and happy enough.

In any situation like this in a strange country with customs you don't know always befriend a local guide. Hang out at bars and meet some friendly young people who speak English and watch to much American TV and you should be better off. In places like Turkey seeds are just a means to an end and might only be for sale around spring to farmers in the rural areas.

The food is amazing and the prices very cheap...for everything

Like every game in life the more low key you are the safer you will be.

?!?!?! my pops was there last summer, and enjoyed the visit very much, good food, nice people, a great diversity of landscapes and a very rich culture and music, plus if you're into drumming they're the world masters at cymbal making, can't understand your negativity about turkey...

well maybe i went a little over the top, but if you read into turkish history and their government policies. well it ain't that pretty. but i guess no one's is.

also from where i live there's lots of masstourism to turkey. lot's of middle aged people do it.

i dunno, just not my kinda place.

going a lot of offtopic here but i'm sure there's enough hash and maybe even something decent. from what i've heard/read prolly not anything smokable weed or seeds for that matter.

In Istanbul you can get middle class weed with many seeds in it
In special districts like Kasimpasa (Haci Hüsrev) live are large population of growers. The houses are connectet together with tunnels so they can carry the stuff out when police comes. Normally this dstricts are really outlaw. No Taxidriver would bring you there and no police would go in. Only the special Forces of the police do some operations there.

Thanks for the advice gang. I plan to stay very low key and may not even bother with trying to hook up. Just wanted to see if there were interesting strains that anyone knew of.

Hi man,
I have smoked some local weed in Istanbul with local people and it's really poor weed. Almost grass. You must smoke a big big one for having some effect and don't forget the head pain.
Turkey is principally a transit place so the good stuff will not be for the locals.
The actual government is religious so I don't recommend to try to bring something if you are a tourist and I will don't try to grab stuff in this country until you have friends living in Turkey that know some dealer.

Well if you buy anything in Istanbul, it will have seeds in it, guaranteed, which are commonly IBL. The weed itself is not very good because it's grown in a careless manner, but really, they are beautiful strains. Sativa.

It's hard to find anything in Turkey unless you know someone of course, or you are randomly offered. There's no special place to find it, or neighborhoods where police will not go. If I were you, maybe go to some places where smokers and chill people are hanging out, and follow your instincts (ie Caddebostan-the beachside park). This time there is more grass in Istanbul because of harvest, but more into the winter kubar (hash) is more common. And yes, low key is the key.

The Black Sea is not on the South by the way
