Perhaps we should just have the Goshos without the personal regurgitation ?
I mean I dont spend the time to give my take on all the Goshos or the daily encouragements that I quote. Not sure why the personal interpretation is so important to include. We can all read and interpret for ourselves. If questions are needed .. they can be asked Then discussions can be had. But to get a personal interpretation for every Gosho is a bit pretentious in my opinion. Just my 2 cents and nothing personal ... just an observation to promote peace :)

Wisdom for Modern Life by Daisaku Ikeda
Saturday, October 2, 2010:

Our individual circle of friendship is part of the global circle of friendship; it is one and the same. A drop of rain from the sky, a drop of water from the river, or a drop of water from the ocean are all just that—a drop of water—until they accumulate. The friends we make in our own small circle contribute to the spread of friendship around the world. Making one true friend is a step toward creating world peace.

Let's hold hands.....

Let's hold hands.....

it ties everybody together as one.

I just got back on, thank goodness, so I was lost but now I'm found.

I've had two blue Western Digitals both get too many bad clusters, so I'm on Ann's setup. I had to get my VPN installed for protection on her rig.....I'm good now.

Yeah, the Braves beat Philly, I hope San Fransico beat the Padres?

Hey everyone, best wishes to you all!

I'm chanting for everyone!

One who, on hearing the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, makes even greater efforts
in faith is a true seeker of the way. T'ien-t'ai states, "From the indigo, an
even deeper blue." This passage means that, if one dyes something repeatedly in
indigo, it becomes even bluer that the indigo leaves. The Lotus Sutra is like
the indigo, and the strength of one's practice is like the deepening blue.

I would hope the posting of the Goshos would be more important then the posting of the personal regurgitation of the Goshos.

YO YO YO,

I love the chanting growers! I'm here to repeat what President Ikeda said in an email to my girl who sent it to me today:

-- TO MY FRIENDS --
In order to overcome any apathy or sluggishness we might have
we really must make an effort to change.
It is so important that we conquer our weaknesses.
Through patiently and consistently challenging ourselves,
the great drama of our human revolution shines. (By Pres. Ikeda)

Human Revolution, we're all doing it here! Med Patient and Grower alike, hand in hand. I been clean for five years and doing so well. My friends here have also been winning.

This thread is documented proof of how Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism works for everybody.

Hey EMD! 5 years is awsome! Most addicts never recover. I stopped drinking 20 years ago after drinking myself crazy for 20 years. No doubt my most powerfeul benefit.

I recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body with Nam myoho renge kyo and this beautiful Gohonzon.

Where many trade dependency from drugs/alcohol to depedency on a group, we have the Supreme Mandala, the Gohonzon, and can enjoy absolute freedom.

I would not be alive without this practice. I am so grateful. :tiphat:

cheers!

Chanting and Buddism not only saved my life from a downward spiral of hate and hard chemical drugs, but it also gave me the wisdom to love my fellow man, and brought good things with it to my life.

I went from chemically dependent in a one bedroom apt with my spouse to non chemically dependent, financially secure and independent and buying a 5 bedroom home.

Life is good Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

We are people of faith, and faith is the ultimate conviction. Nothing could be
sadder nor more shortsighted, therefore, than complaining or giving up when we
encounter some small obstacle in our path. A genuine Buddhist is a person of
wisdom and conviction.
