Small cafes welcome end to smoking ban

Wednesday 29 September 2010

Small cafes have welcomed the news that the new government is set to ditch the ban on smoking in bars with no staff.

‘I had an extra cigarette to celebrate,’said Wiel Maessen of the small bar owners’ lobby group which has campaigned against the ban.

The ban, ostensibly to protect staff, came into effect in July 2008 but has since been undermined by several court rulings.

Good news for coffeeshop customers I'm sure ;)

Foreigners will not be allowed anymore to visit a coffeeshop. They introduce a pas system for Dutch people residents only.Hospitality is gone thanks to the 3 parties, but i'm still positive that this coalition will collapse within a few months.:blowbubbles:

There is one positive thing and that is that the medical marijuana will be expand for other diseases also.My only thought about is what quality will the patients get, probably gamma-radiated stuff.:moon:

I don't think EU will allow a sort discrimination like this

Like what Lasko said the EU has no power to ban a pas system or anything else, just look at France and see WWII is back after 65 years.

Speaking about WWII being back, I watched a segment on the news yesterday about the huge surge and rise in neo-nazi thinking and groups rising dramatically in Germany in the past year. Kinda scary.

EU has the power to stop a local law that's in conflict with other EU laws but better to say that arriving to a trial at an EU court takes many years and many more years for the sentence to be applied if the local gov. doesn't like it.

Syd look in France, deporting of roman ppl. Did anyone said something? Sad bro

Not that they didn't say anything. I bet my ass that this was all previously coordinated between the EU states as well as their pebble response.
I'm not saying there aren't problems but this isn't the way to solve them.

The scary and weird part is that neo-nazi grups are hugely popular in Russia. Now go figure that one out.

that's a little dramatic to say that WWII is back, and i doubt this pas system will get instated.

Deportation of a population of people brings me back the pics of WWII.

If the pas system will come is for me also a big question, since Amsterdam, The Hague depends on tourism and coffeeshops are a part from it.

had to quote this,,,, It seems france does stupid things but remember that it isn t french people who s doing it but just the little f..... who suppose to be our president.

This small dog thinks he is god (a small one) and even those who voted for him are disgusted of what he does and who he is.

Coming back to what you wrote mostly noone in france and europe moved a finger to help them out.

Not long ago you had the same thing with tibetan and chinese people
Longer ago in rwanda and bostwana.
and and and the list is long and noone moved either.
Did you??????
