The drains on those things are stupid and unless you are careful they will clog up and flood your room.

Plan on putting up a truss to support your plants, every few days lift the cover near the drain and pull the roots out an place them back in the tray pointing the other direction. Plan on doing that through the first 3/4s of the grow at least. Not a good idea to try and cover the drains with net or anything because the roots will grow right through anything and you'll just damage them taking them out.

Other than that it's a fine system.

Personally, I make sure my clones from my aerocloner are at least one foot long before putting them into the Aeroflo. The drain (that is a terrible design like japan said, along with the laser line misters) can be pulled up to keep the water level high in your gullies (aerotubes) to support little clones. I would suggest not doing that. make sure the drain pipe is all the way down so barely any water level is created.

Next, make sure your laser line water mists are shooting down, at the bottom corner or gully making the mist off the the gullys bottom. It is important not to spray roots directly.

Also, keep rez temps cool. I believe 70-75 degrees is ideal. Chiller is good idea. If you cant afford it, gallon frozen water bottles replaced daily. Make sure to take off paper labels before putting in water.

like Japan said, truss support is important. I didnt do it for first aero run and it was a mistake. had to tie all main colas, string to roof. 50 colas... not fun. Build a pvc one with netting.. hortonova is nice netting if you can get it. build netting before plants grow into it. You should only be growing plants 3 feet high (lights dont penetrate more than 3 feet down into canopy) so flower prob at 1 - 1 1/2 feet. Netting should start at about half the expected finished height.

Dont use a chunky nute line up. Laser lines on aeroflo's clog easily.

* in the future, i would recommend to replace laserline's yourself, and insert 1/8 inch pvc lines with 360 mist sprayers (red ez sprayers only from local hydro shop). You can use thicker nutrient lineups if prefered, and the overall performance from 360 misters are ideal.

pH 5.8 check daily.

ppm vary depending on stage of growth. important.

My first aero grow, no veg, 3 feet tall, 3 ounce plants. Best medium results ive ever seen, and i've tried most. Enjoy.

Hope that helps.

Yes guys im very happy so far the growth with this system is inscrutably fast as is the way the plants look as in they look very bulky and strong like they could hold big nugs but not sure how to get the most out of the system being its my first of its kind, not sure if I should train them in some way or net them or what????

Aero isn't really any different as far as how you prefer to train your plants, the only difference is the support or lack of it. that machine you have has spots for SOG really though so if you want to go with bigger plants just skip some of the holes.
